I just use the yarn hanging off the corner of the foundation chain. If it's on the left then I am looking at the right/front side. Easy peasy. 😂 😘

While i would agree with you, if like me you work in your ends as you go along, that first tail might not be visible.

👍 I'm still confused about that.

@@GrannyBlanketSue that's why I leave that specific tail out until the very end lol

I put a locking stitch marker to mark right side. But yarn is great also.

That was short and sweet yet so helpful a tip.😊 I must admit that i still get confused which side is the right side. Your saying that the first row is the RS and the tail of the yarn for right handed hangs at the left side ended that confusion with 100% certainty. Thanks heaps, Mikey.

Hi Mikey. It took years and much knitting and crocheting to know my stitches and how they appear on the RS and WS. It's easy now but your tip would have come in handy when I was struggling. Thanks so much. Have a great day 😊

I needed this video two weeks ago. I thinkI sewed my cardigan together with one arm 'inside out'. Oh well. I like your solution. Thanks.

Thank you so much Mikey. Such a brilliant but simple idea, it would be so lovely if I had a brain 😂. I will definitely be using this tip. I normally just look at my work to decide which Is the right side 😊 xx

You are my inspiration Mikey. I left you a personal Facebook message on your personal Facebook page many weeks ago. When you have a moment, please read. You brought me back me, and I wanted to share my story with you as you shared yours with me and so many others ❤❤

I usually go by which side the starting tail is on (right-handed so on left side). But I started using your stitch marker idea several months ago and it does make it easier to see. Thanks for these shorts. They are very helpful. 🧡💛💚💙💜

I started a project where there’s the row of chains, then 1 row of sc, and the rest of the project is dcs. With this rule still apply or do I count the first row of my dc as the right side
@AndreaShelton-mw6tr6 ай бұрын
How about only working from right side?
@colleentodd2263 Жыл бұрын
If the starting tail is on the left isn't that the right side?
@dawnmeyer59692 жыл бұрын
What if you use foundation single crochets instead of doing sc into a chain like a pattern says to do? Is the 2nd row then considered the right side?
@cherb_soco18912 жыл бұрын
Where "normally " you make a chain, turn & stitch across, making the 1st row, in FSC, you're doing both at the same time. So your foundation row would be the 1st row.

Depends if the designer says so. However if you are creating. You can assume that yes.
