What Is The Right Speed To Change Gears In Bike? | बाइक किस स्पीड पर कौन से गियर में चलानी चाहिए?

In a motorcycle, as engine speed increases, its torque has to catch up to increase power and hence you gradually shift gears until top gear, where you reach peak torque. Technically gear change is required when more power is needed to pull the vehicle. So, how fast you can shift to the top gear depends on one factor i.e. torque. If the bike offers good low end torque, you get good pickup and can change gears fast.
Whether you have a 100 cc bike or 1000 cc bike, you must know as a rider "what is the correct time and speed to change the gears in your motorcycle". When you change your gears at the correct speed, you will get maximum performance & efficiency from your bike.

Bro agar high gear mein low speed par chalenge toh kya asar padega? Kya clutch plate ko haani hogi? Meri Unicorn 150 ko main 30-40 ki speed par bhi 4th ya 5th gear pe chalata hu, kyonki mujhe vibration pasand nahi. Iss wajah se, ab 10 saal baad, woh 60-70 se jyada ki speed se nahi jaa sakti. Top speed is 70. Lekin log kehte hai Unicorn 100 tak jaati hai aam taur par. Peechle 5 saalon mein 5 clutch plates badali hai. Koi hal?

Learning right way is important but if you are starting learning bike riding, you should be willing to risk health of all things related to ”engine life” ”clutch plates”, if you will try to be perfect in very early learning you will not be able to progress. Only by making mistakes you will know what not to do. Just that those mistakes should not be injury causing or life threatening. So, when you see a video about “rider mistakes”, don’t feel embarrassed or hopeless, learn from mistakes and improve. Your primary aim should be safety first, rest all are secondary. Dont fall for tips and tricks. Try to feel the coordination between clutch, breaks, gears and engine sound, thats the best thing you can do in learning phase and take your time to master that. Rest will come automatically.

So, the recommended speeds for changing gears is - 20 Km/hr- Second Gear, 40 Km/Hr- 3rd Gear, 60 Km/hr- Fourth Gear and 80 Km/hr- 5th Gear. On these speeds, you won't feel the engine strained and vibration in bike's body. 🤍🕊
