Good comments on the bike from both of you! Sean, I’m happy the bike turned out to be a bit of a pleasant surprise. I have seen some comments around (not too many so far, but still) people don’t like the Sherpa platform, as it’s too modern. I strongly disagree with that, and I hope RE continue moving forward. Royal Enfield are evolving faster in a decade than Harley-Davidson have in over 120 years. That’s a good thing. The air cooled bikes will always be there, so long as legislation allows. We all love them, but we have to leave room for evolution, as well. Hey, how did I get up on this soap box… 😂

I also did the crow on my test ride but after 26minutes my hands were hurting too much. I'm glad you tried this one, unrated bike and often too many compare it to the 411. It's an excellent bike 9 out of 10 id say. Vibes and side stand camber lean is it's only issue. That was so funny in places😂

I like the idea of the 452 Himmy. But I really liked the looks of the old 411. Now if they had made an option to put the 450 in a 411 Himmy frame, that would be really nice. I just like the classic styling is all.

Thank you both. As a rider who likes plodders as well (torque rather than revs) I was interested to see this review. The vibes have been mentioned by a lot of reviewers but the only way to tell if it’s a deal breaker is to take a test ride which I intend doing. I can’t see this being a serious competitor to the CF as the Chinese bike is more aesthetically pleasing to look at.

@@vidhikalaria8201 the guy from Royal Enfield disclosed the information in a video from ABR rally in England. Tank bag on its way soon , magnetic. 🧲
The new 2024 Sherpa engine was definitely needed to make the Himalayan 450 a more desirable bike. Just like the Honda CRF300 RALLY, which is very close in terms of power to the old version, it's just not enough for a true off-road adventure bike. When you watch Noraly on Itchy Boots, you can see that the Honda struggles when pushed performing real world journeys. So giving the 450 twice the amount of HP and torque, has freshened up the range.
