This biased standard said it was proposed on 2005 but never mentioned the real facts about the work started in may 2019 . This is the quality of general nowadays. That too from a business channel hiding the most important facts is unacceptable.

@@gautam7087 You are Andh. Yes, this project bhomi poojan was done in 2019 and PMO office is closely monitoring this project. I have been closely tracking this project sine 2019. Construction work was going on in full swing since then.

They don't mention that Alstom coaches were designed in their Hyderabad Centre and are made in Gujarat. Uninformed viewers will think these trains are imported from France. Again a business channel is leaving important facts and bringing imaginary ideas, Business channels should stick to reporting important facts.

This is a dream project of Nehruji. It was Nehruji who dreamed about a train passing from Delhi to Meerut. If he was not suddenly woken up by Edwina in the middle of the night for some foreplay, Nehruji would have designed the blue print himself and laid the first brick in 1950. The government should rename this train as Nehruji express if not the entire country who worship Nehruji will take to the streets.

Stupid Modi simply executed the brilliant plan and is taking all the credit. Business Standard and its Lutyen Bengali Boss wants whole country to know where the inspiration came from and hence this brilliant report

Will RRTS be restricted to Delhi and surrounding areas only, or will they be extended to other cities as well. Eg Mumbai-Pune, Mumbai-Valsad, Bengaluru-Devanahalli-Chikballapur, Bengaluru-Mysuru, Bengaluru-Hindupur, Bengaluru-Tumkur, Bengaluru-Hosur-Dharampiri, Chennai-Sriperambudur-Chengalpattu etc etc.

More infra projects for low income low density areas of Northern India. What is the point? The rich people there won't leave their Fortuners while the poor will choose cheaper modes of transportation. Connect industrial cities first. 800 buses ply between Hyderabad and Bangalore, 500 buses between Chennai - Bangalore, 400 between Mangalore - Bangalore DAILY. Trains are always full and people happily pay 800-2000 rupees for a 400 km bus journey.

High Income should stick to Airplanes 😒 Low Income North Indian deserve this. If you have that much money rather buy a chartered flight why blabbering here, people like you are the one that tends to divide the country, Do you even know to meaning of country captial and that capital is 2nd most biggest metropolitan in the world after Tokyo, then you said low density?🙄 North India is also the bread bowl of India with huge industrial base so you should not try to demean it. And the Banglore and Hyderabad has also become prosperous because of contribution of all Indians who migrated there whether south India or North. This is the pilot concept of RRTS and out of all the places in the country they chose NCR because of high density, who told you that this project is at a low density location? If this project could curb the population movement and lower the carbon emission by vehicles in 3 of the dense corridors - i'm sure they will implement in other larger-populated cities.

Who said so? Population density is high in NCR region. UP is one among the heavily populated state. I don't see why this project is not feasible to operate in this region. NCR region is also a highly developed region with too many whit le collar jobs. They definitely will utilise the NCRTC to the fullest.
