I love this talk because of its utter silliness(!) and Freddie's goof at approximately 37:55 where he's going over the chart in the book (Life Everlasting in Freedom of the sons of God) where he says a thousand years in the future from the year 1975 is the year 2075, "...a thousand years from now.", of course one thousand years from 1975 would be 2975; 2075 is only one hundred years from 1975.

A friend who had been at Bethel told me he was sitting next to Franz in the dining room and as they were talking Franz said, "Well, if we only knew when Eve was created we would be able to figure out when the end will be." Dr. Richmann when I was at Bethel and caught on an elevator, we were warned by other fellow bethelites to be very, very wary to avoid conversations with higher-ups lest we look foolish (reasonable, as most of us were early twenties) and to avoid getting trapped either way in a conversation, perhaps answering a question, that could get us tagged as a "trouble maker." I can't count the number of times I evaded conversations by "just missing" the elevator, etc. Answering a question by asking a question was my usual method of turning a challenge aside, if caught in a learning moment.

Just before I got out, I zoned out at the meeting, thinking I felt like Dorothy and my children like her friends following along. The governing body, to me, were like the Wizard of Oz, just a little old man hiding behind that curtain. Then I realized that after having come all that way on that awful journey started by my late husband, that we'd been misled. But "Where would we go now?" was just like the question Dorothy had "How else would they get home?" And I realized that I was wearing the ruby slippers. I got out and many years later finally made my way out of the FOG (Fear Obligation Guilt), after doing 'MY OWN RESEARCH' on my own 2 feet.
