What is the Significance of Rudraksha [Hindi with English CC]

In this discourse, Om Swami answers three questions.
The First Question - What is the Significance of a Rudraksha mala? And why is only Rudraksha mala used in mantra sadhana? Om Swami says it isn't correct to say that only Rudraksha mala is used. I have written about the different types of malas that can be used. Some examples are malas made of Sandalwood White or Red, of Tulsi (Basil). Which mala should be used depends on the guru, path, tradition, and sentiment. In terms of the significance of Rudraksha, if you wear one on your own there isn't much significance to it. The significance depends on who has initiated it, how it was done,
by what method, with what feelings, by whose order, and by what tradition.
The Second Question - Should we abstain from certain things after wearing Rudrākṣa? Om Swami talks about when one should abstain vs. when it is ok to not abstain. Listen to the full discourse to learn more.
