Ahh, I feel so grateful. Benoa shines again. Still in memory. When in front of the Nikko Hotel, the sidewalk became an area where I managed volunteers to distribute packaged rice to the bunkhouse area and small alleys around Benoa.... That new building where they are working on night and day isn't a hotel, but furnished apartments (it says so on the posters). As it's now forbidden in Bali to build new hotels, I think the developers will just switch to such apartments, that tourists can buy -and rent out to other tourists when they're not in Bali themselves.
