Can you give some pointers about how to determine tank size? People will say “keep up to ten of species x in a ten gallon,” but is that alone? How do I adjust if I want to add tankmates?

I love those little pea puffers but are there different types that grow to different sizes? If so what kind stays small?
@garethpearson7155 Жыл бұрын
Can you clarify, you mention the green rasbora, saying 5-6 in an 8-10g tank. But the video you are showing has 5-6 but other fish as well? What size tank are you showing in the video? Does that mean you can have more than 5-6 if it’s the only fish in the tanks. I really enjoyed your video, thanks.

I’ve been wanting long finned white clouds for awhile now. (Not on the list but just sayin’ lol) haven’t seen any locally. Have a 10 gallon ready to go, hoping to get some of them and a betta together? Did I see a video in which you kept them together?

I love your channel ❤️ thank you for sharing so much good info. I recently got into this hobby and would love to hear from you about how you would stock a 3.5 gal. Specifically, I got a Back to the Roots water garden tank and I’m at a loss as to how to prep it. Thank you!

Hopefully, you're not going to put a betta in that thing because it's closed off. Bettas need air to breathe.

Endlers can breed with guppies and the Endlers have the more dominant genes is my guess. I have the had the same experience with using a mix of "feeder" guppies, fancy guppies, and Endlers. The overall results can be awe inspiring in terms of colors and patterns considering they would be "mutt guppy hybrids."

Do you think that a heavily planted 5 would be big enough for 2 pea puffers? I’m decently experienced with peas as I have had one for 7 months

After browsing flip aquatics for awhile, like you suggested, I stumbled upon these great little nano fish, which they classify as ‘micro’ fish. The Toucan Tetra. Could you by any chance put them in one of your videos? Between Prime Time Aquatics, Aquarium Co-op, KGTropicals and Girl Talks Fish I haven’t heard a single person mention them, let alone mention them as a good fish for a nano tank even though they get only about 3/4” and they seems to come from the same types of black water streams that all these other tetras come from so I think they have the same water parameters for the most part. They look like cute little fish but I’m wondering why nobody has ever brought them up before. You do such a great job with your videos and with the species profiles on PTA I was wondering if you could cover these little gems sometime. Are they hard to care for? Why has nobody mentioned them?😢 thanks. #LOVEYOURVIDEOS!

There were more endlers than guppies in your pond because the endler males are typically smaller and faster than guppy males because of their smaller size and shorter fins. So more endlers bred with the female guppies and endlers. Guppies and endlers are technically 2 different species, though they can interbreed/hybridize. Most endlers in the pet trade have already been mixed with guppies, unless they are labeled N class and have paperwork to prove they haven't been mixed with guppies.
