I’m surprised Dave hasn’t described Fawkes as a heroic freedom fighter that was murdered by white supremacists.

It is neither “Bonfire Night” nor “Firework Night”. It is GUY FAWKES NIGHT. Our most spectacular non religious celebration, albeit one of an abject failure!

I think you'll find the story behind why it happened is particularly about religion.

It's interesting that Fawkes was the hired help, not the any of ringleaders, who either died in a shoot out or on the scaffold. He also became notorious because he decided to cheat the executioner of the worst part of his death sentence, by making sure he died quickly at his own hand, so although he confessed under torture, he still fought those he clearly hated to the last. If they had suceeded that part of London, they intended to blow up, would be a very different place today and the country would have been plunged into civil war, earlier than it was.

I don’t believe anything David Olsuga says. He isn’t a historian. Historians are objective and unbiased. He has an axe to grind. I think of him more as a propagandist. Still, I’m sure he got to where he is purely on merit, nothing else. Absolutely nothing else.

I agree with you. He has an axe to grind…with the historians that are loyal to a warped history. He is Factual.

Are the British so bad that every part of their history is marred by wickedness?
@stevengarside Жыл бұрын
David blocked me on twitter for politely reminding him that he has been totally silent on the genocide in Gaza. Silence is complicity, especially when you have a platform. Why is he not speaking out against Israel's war crimes and the racism and colonialism experienced by Palestinians? Perhaps he values his career more than justice?

Nothing to do with his skin colour - I know black people who are every bit as British as me. However he is from Nigeria however and I suspect he is upset his mother brought him here as a child; he'd probably be happier there. If it's not hate, then his distain for Britain comes across clear in most of the things he does. And if it's not distain then it's an absence of any passion. Whatever it is, he's the wrong choice for such broadcasts. If someone has a problem with skin colour, it would most like be Olosuga. @@NathanielHDTube99
