To Alicia, i can relate to what you're going through. Hopefully the dermatologist can empathize your frustrations & be able to consider the best for you, especially when you are resorting yourself to medications to ease the solution. I've struggled with ache & people's words sure do bite even if they don't meant it. It's not because people are inwardly sensitive, but people are desensitized to what's being called sense of propriety. In Chinese, 懂得分寸.

i can totally relate to the girl who shared about her acne. the worst question you could ever asked is"whats wrong w your face". you should just ignore and let me live my life bc I didn't go around asking why people look the way they do

The acne story is superrrrrr relatable! Some people have good intentions but it’s the way of approach that could come out really offensive and degrading sometimes 🥴🥴

I've always had a tall, athletic build, so i was always concerned about not looking feminine. While we were overseas as a group, a male friend joked that he shouldn't need to pay for extra baggage weight if they allowed someone as big as me to fly without paying extra. And sometimes guys would even ask if I was overweight, when in actual fact my BMI was 21, but I am taller so I look bigger overall. It was very hurtful to hear.

I think being "ugly" or "having acne" are things that one cannot control, or are just born with/genetically inclined to. but allowing oneself to become obese? If you don't have underlying medical conditions like PCOS, hypothyroidism, Cushing or what not, and obese because of diet and lifestyle, and allow yourself to balloon over the years, you really just have yourself to blame

I don't think one would allow themselves to be obese and with that saying, our body size does not determine who we are and our own body condition. There are also people whom are skinny, fits the standard size of society, but guess what, they are skinny fat. They are also suffering from conditions though they are skinny.. And I have also personally known friends whom are skinny and suffering from skinny fat.
