Very good place for living... Houses and apartments are very cheap, I've been here for 3 years, I moved here from WPB because the crime rates was so high, but here is comfortable and people keeps to themselves, not much to worry about here... Very quiet, it's just that you need transportation because everything is far out in some areas... Other then that it's a very cool place for living or even visiting ❤😀 I Love being here.

What to do in Ocala? Wake up early so you can take a walk before it hits 100 degrees and 90 percent humidity. Watch daytime TV. Take an afternoon nap. Wait until the mosquitos calm down so you don't get bitten to death. Go for an early dinner since restaurants close early. Watch evening TV. Go to bed early so you can wake up early and start the whole process over.

Great video, Thomas! As everything you do! Can you believe that a couple of subscribers in my KZbin channels say that there is nothing to do in Ocala? Maybe they live in a different place than you and me or in another "dimension". Taking the words of one of my clients, "Who ever gets bored in Ocala is dumb". Keep enjoying this beautiful land, Thomas!

I moved to Ocala about 2 yrs ago. Ocala is a beautiful area with lots to do if you are active. I enjoy hiking. Loads of grat trails around d both paved and dirt. Th E downtown is quaint with new restaurants opening almost weekly. I'm never bored here. There is theater, swimming and just enjoying the beautiful scenery. The World Rquestrian Center is always hoping with entertainment, horse shows and shopping. The restaurant there is exquisite. I don't know why there are such negative comments here. People you gotta get off your duff and express beautiful Ocala.

Are you looking to retire soon? Ocala only benefits retirees and homeless folks. If you're a young and looking to upgrade your career try Gainseville or Tampa. All the young adults here LIVE WITH THEIR PARENTS. It's a boring town. I currently live here and am just saving money to move.

I have to say, I am very, very grateful for these youtube videos. I'd thought of moving to Tallahassee until I saw the video of the hood in the west side! Yikes! Worse than Oakland! Ocala was also on my list, at least until I watched this. It certainly looks a lot safer than Tally, but it also looks amazingly small time, segregated and utterly boring. Back to the research. This is so much better than simply picking up and moving, then going WTF?!!

I haven't been in years, but, my grandparents lived in Silver Springs Shores for many years. I know it well from visiting from the later 70s to early 1990s. In those days, it was a very nice and safe place to live. Nowadays, not so sure about that. From what I've gathered the past few years, it's in decline. A lot of area attractions have shut down, as well, which is a bad sign, generally. Silver Springs they utterly ruined, and even the Wild Waters Water Park that used to be there in Ocala shut down four years ago and is now derelict. But of course years ago, it was mainly for retirement communities. Not sure what it's like nowadays. I have heard the crime rate has been going way up the past 15 years or more.
