Path of exile , one move kills the screen , lost are 555555 moves kill one pack. I have problems with both approaches, I hate I can decide in poe to have Def and not much dmg and to have to spend more time killing the boss. But no, ether X million dmg or you have no chance. Don't start me on the corpse explosion shit ...

Poe is a nice game if you like making currency and crafting, they should rename themselves to grinding currency games GCG instead of GGG. When was the last time you picked up something from the ground (not legendary) that was a good for extreme endgame??

PoE is more like a tradicional ARPG, whereas Lost ark is more like an MMO that just happens to have an isometric perspective, hence why on the former you clear the whole screen with 1 button while zooming around and on the later you need full rotations to kill just a single pack of mobs, but that's just combat, Lost ark has a lot more social aspects frequently seen in traditional MMOs rather than ARPGs.

i ve played it. lost ark is bomb but u have limits in daily actions.when u are done with islands ,all u get is 2-3h gear upgrade quests and pvp arena/ pvp is ok. you have to go through story line cos levels in this game are really pretty.

Lost Ark's art, combat, and aesthetics for an arpg are top notch for me. The biggest con as people commented here is that there is nothing else to do after you do the dailies, weeklies and islands. Also most content are time gated so sucks for people who cant play at a certain time.

Haven't play the game but it seems like they really nailed satisfying combat. Which for me has always been the go to reason to play POE and D3. Its very satisfying to kills entire rooms of enemies and have so many different ways to do it is just nice. Every class in this game seems capable of doing that with awesome ability effects and absolutely ON POINT sound design.

Yeah Lost Ark really is good.. I got quite far in end game when I played... the Raids or whatever their name with the big mosnter hunting thing are super fun, and it gets pretty challenging later on. (and its just badass fighting these monsters that are the size of a house lol) I think in the end I liked cannoneer (or I suppose blaster?) the most, they are really slow moving but their different skills like flamethrowers and missile bombardment etc skills are just so juicy :P

I mean good combat is always nice so I'd at least try lost ark if/when it gets an na release but probably won't go into it hard before getting bored, only thing that really keeps me into poe is how much freedom there is with how you build (like the various mechanics you can stack/interact and the ability to focus one skill and push it through supports, gear and ascendancies) which I haven't come across another game that gives me that itch to sit and theory craft a build and try and push to it. Like Last Epoch even with the mini skill modification trees just feels shallow to me in comparison and lost ark isn't gonna be deep in that aspect at all.

I’m exactly the same as you, love making builds, once I finally fully realise a build, it instantly starts to get boring to play usually. But honestly, last epoch still scratches that itch for me. A lot of the skills trees can synergies together, so there are a lot of unique builds that can be made. I even made a build that causes a near infinite feedback loop that lags the shit out of the game, but the fact that it even exists is something I did not expect at all. Last epoch is worth a shot my man.

Tbh while I'm excited for Lost Ark to release, I feel like unlike Diablo or PoE the combat is way too fixated on showing off their animations. Almost every second skill either charges for 3 seconds or keeps you locked in an animation.
