The soap dispenser was still in place at the showers of the coal line-up pit - that I worked at in the early 90s. Instead of liquid soap it had a smaller opening and dispenser some think like an alcohol rub. If you had scrapped yourself during the shift it helped get the coal dust out of the cuts to prevent the cuts being blue/black once healed/scarred over.

Well, I deduced the soap dispenser and the hat box! i have a pair of sugar nips very like the ones at 7:30. They're for cutting lumps of sugar off a cone of sugar.
