Thank you all so much for the support on this video! I'll be batch watching and editing these to get them up ASAP! And we will be continuing the Twilight Saga to completion and hopefully starting the MCU right after! Let me know if there are any movies you'd like me to react to!

I love this show. It's just a fun show with cool characters. Also, the Death character and actress is from Netflix's The Sandman series. Dead Boy is set in the same world.

This show is so gay and so camp, and it brings me joy! IMO the show is on par with Our Flag Means Death in terms of fabulous gayness.

IMO Esther is Madeline Kahn coded. For the clueless, Madeline Kahn was an ICON of comedy. She was, as I believe the kids say, Mother. She's most known for playing Mrs. White in Clue (She's the Flames on the sides of my face meme), Elizabeth in Young Frankenstein, and Lily von Schtupp in Blazing Saddles

9:22 Right?! Sense8 is one of my favourite shows ever and it is tragic that it couldn't finish the way they wanted. Anyways, watched this whole show the day it released and I am now obsessed. It is fantastic and so fun. Crossing my fingers they get a season 2

Omg I'm SO here for the Sense8 x Dead Boy Detectives crossover, cause SAME. I don't foresee forgiving Netflix for cancelling Sense8 (and they better not cancel DBD cause I will riot)

Ha, I'm glad you pointed out that sus accent. About 15 minutes in when I watched this the first time, I was like, her American accent isn't Americaning. Kassius Nelson, who plays Crystal Palace is English.

Same. Her accent is pretty decent. But there are specific vowel sounds that STILL sound very British and you can VERY easily catch them if you know what you're looking/ listening for. Honestly, wish they had cast an American... Because it is a teeny tiny bit distracting, unfortunately. And I'm sure it probably didn't help that she was having to keep up an unnatural accent around people who are speaking with her natural accent. But usually does make things more difficult but yeah... it definitely slips with some vowel sounds... consistently. But I'm sure a casual viewer or someone who doesn't pick up on accent nuances as much... Wouldn't be as distracted? Idk. All I know is that it very much did take ME out of it quite frequently. Still really really love the show and very much want to season 2 to happen.... but yeah, that accent work was a tad distracting. Throughout the entirety of the season as well. Sometimes it can take a couple of episodes for someone to fully relaxed into an accent... But that didn't happen with this one... She just has the same issue with AR sounds, from what I can't tell...they just do not sound like someone who naturally has an American accent. Granted, I fully understand that this is a nitpick but yeah... I'm pretty quickly guessed that she was probably English because a lot of English actors struggle with that sound specifically...it's a pretty common place for their natural accent to slip through. If she had an accent coach or potentially had a more expensive accent coach... they would have been able to catch and fix that consistent slip pretty quickly.

What grabbed me was Death from Sandman showing up in the opening! I had not idea until then that it was part of the same universe. And Kirby was amazing job as Death!

She is English, actually. Her accent seemed all right to me, but good catch. I don't know why they didn't just have the character as English, though.

this is a DC comics show. It was originally going to be a Doom Patrol(DC show in hbo) spin-off show. the trio were introduced in a backdoor pilot episode in the show. they were completely different actors. but then the whole thing with hbomax happened and the dead boy detectives was canceled before it was even made. Sandman is also DC comics so the same people in charge went and created this show as a spin-off of sandman instead. I think the actress who played the psychic girl in Doom Patrol playing a different character in this show. Both Doom Patrol and Sandman deal with other worldly supernatural stuff. Ill say Doom Patrol leans more on the comedic of the insanity(Also very depressing) while Sandman takes itself more seriously.

I like the show, but it sits on the edge of Doom Patrol bonkers without *quite* going there. I hope they get a bit more fearless next season (if there is one). Nice catch on the sus American accent.

@@BARALover96 Doom Patrol is the reason I am watching this (Have seen the first 2 episodes) and it has not disappointed yet. When I saw the Dandylion Sprites that is when it really cemented the connection for me LOL
