This is the first RH Bella that I did not buy. Her prototype face was so pretty, too. The ones I saw in person were positively scary.

I feel that, the ones I've seen in person have been crazy ☠️ Whats so funny, is that the new stock I'm seeing be put out (in my stores at least) have better faces than the ones I was seeing before Xmas, my sister and I have a conspiracy that they put out all the ugly ones before the holidays so they knew they'd get sold and saved the pretty ones for afterwards 😂

I feel like they are slowly changing Bella to be a more marketable shade of Pink. Bella was originally a more dusty pink. Which was fine because Rainbow High would do every pink hex code. Now Bella is the only reoccurring pink doll so I think the designers want to push her in a more Bubblegum pink direction similar to Minnie Choi. Which I'm am ambivalent towards. I like Dusty pink but I won't deny I like Bubble gum pink far more. The make up on this line is Diabolical. It annoys me how Rainbow World will oscillate between having absolutely stunning faces that put G1 to shame to having some of the most hideous faces Rainbow High has ever given us. I also hate the packaging. The quality of the dolls is going down but the over packaging of the boxes just keeps going up. These new dolls are so much harder to open than they have any right to be.

I'm really curious about the direction they're taking Bella too, because the Creative Crystals Bella seems to keep some of that soft pink but the accessories are a more saturated pink so I guess we'll see as the reboot moves forward. I've always been a soft pink person but honestly I respond to all pinks lol. THE PACKAGING OH MY GOD!!! Like I feel we were finally getting somewhere with packaging reduction and then they reboot and decide to just go insane with it. I don't know if you've opened any of the Crystals dolls but MY GOD they are so much worse than these ☠️ I've got skyler coming next week so the channel will see it then but holy crap it's a nightmare getting those dolls out! I can't imagine a child doing it and not getting s frustrated

i just couldn't get past the giant forehead on this one lol and with everything else going on with her i figured i should probably just save my shelf space i'm glad they're at least doing different gimmicks with each line for the new ones but it's just wild how different they all look. like the slime ones i think are just slightly worse versions of the originals but they're not that bad, these ones are kind of atrocious even though i did get violet and sunny, and i personally like the ones with the glitter in the legs the best so far because i feel like the faces and clothes are better but also you lose the knee articulation there so that's a clear downside. very weird but i guess they're probably experimenting with a bunch of different stuff to see what sells the best.

Totally valid, she is serving up a lot of forehead 😂 That's a good point, it very much feels like an experiment. I'm not sure where they got the notion, but it seems like MGA thinks if they don't do gimmicks exclusively, then the dolls won't sell at all. I don't mind a gimmick here and there but it being in pretty much every line is going to get old fast
