Nice! If I remember correctly, Peplink had a product that used multiple tunnels to a common IP address, so if you travel outside of your Wifi, it’ll instantly switch to LTE without dropping the link or needing to reset any routes. The other good use of this feature is you can aggregate 8 SIMs on all different carriers, but with just one endpoint IP address. I’ll have to see if I can find an open source way to replicate this. The last time I saw something like this was using the ROOter firmware project that’s based on OpenWRT.

Thanks for a review of this motherboard - some have popped up on eBay again as opposed to the more common X10SLL that *requires* ECC unbuffered RAM which can be a pain to find for a reasonable price and I definitely don't have any on hand. There are a few LGA1150 Xeons out there that compare quite well in price to Core ix processors, and those suit the capabilities of this motherboard perfectly, obviously, since it's a workstation-server type motherboard with a corresponding chipset - you can do fun stuff like PCI-E passthrough with a compatible processor.

hell I orderd 2 of those 64 gb satadom's and they didn't send the darn cable and I cant find the darn things anywhere. I find all the 3pin to to molex. or the ones with 2 pin on the sata dom's with 3pin on mother board. I hope they send the darn cables or I will have to just send them back and wait to get my money and order from some one else in hops of getting the cable. I have a x10 mother board with 2 of the orange sata ports with 2 of the sata dom power connect beside them. I was so much hoping they would get power from the sata ports they are not yellow but and off yellow. man this really sucks. LOL

Just be careful when purchasing this board on ebay. Some of these boards on there don't have a mini pcie slot and sim card slot.

The X10SLQ has both. Only the X10SLQ-L is missing the Mini PCIE and SIM.

Have you tried using the msata slot for an SSD? Mine won't recognize it and it's driving me nuts.

it could be just a regular mini pcie. msata has the same physical form factor but it has to have a sata controller for the board to recognize it as a drive. you could also use a minipcie card to add two (or i think up to four) extra sata ports.

Hi, I bought a PC and it has this motherboard. My problem is that the LAN ports are not working. Do I need to enable them in BIOS? Or do some jumper magic? I tried to play with different settings in BIOS but neither of them works. Do you have any idea about this problem? I'm using win10

The solution was jumper magic, both ethernet ports were disabled with jumpers on motherboard by default ...

@@nenopanchev875 Hello, Type in google supermicro X10SLQ manual, for me it's the 1st entry. It's a 113 page long PDF document Once you have the PDF, search for LAN1/LAN2 Enable/Disable in PDF, there you can see a picture how are they enabled or disabled. I only changed one at a time physically on motherboard with jumpers (this is the jumper magic :) ), because this way at least one is enabled for sure. (If you have to remove the video card please be patient, don't brake it :) ) I use it as a simple PC, nothing PXE (some remote LAN boot related stuff), if you need that feature you should search for more details. I hope it helps!

Anyone manage to get this board to boot Windows 10? I just bought this board to replace a dead one, and I can get it to boot into the latest version of Linux Mint (I am not a Linux user, I have it because I'm trying to use it for work, but at home, I want to play Fortnite, please don't hate me). So when I attempt to boot from my previously setup SSD, the computer just goes to a blank black screen with no cursor, not circling dots, no nothing... So then I put in Hirens Boot CD/USB Flash drive and I get the screen where it says press any key to boot from this drive and when I press a key it just hangs there and never progresses. Now I have Hirens on a multi boot USB Flash drive tool and so it has another option for Booting the Hirens image and when I select it a ton of code scrolls across my screen and then it goes blank and just sits there.... I'm to the point I'm wondering if there is an issue with this board, or a compatibility issue with this board and Windows 10 (which seems odd since I have installed Windows 10 on some crazy old systems, older than this board, without any issue) Anyone have any suggestions, is there maybe a setting in the Bios I need to change? There are a tone of settings in there I've not seen before, my guess is that they are there because this is kind of a mix between a desktop MB and a server MB... Any help would be appreciated.

I have Windows 10 with this board, and work well, the only problem is the audio drivers, I use driver booster for the drivers.
