I have a one-acre lot , on a hill and our septic has always done it’s job properly since there is no damage and meets code for a three bedroom house. We had a “fail” due to a perk test and effervescence(build-up) at the exit pipe. If I obtain a successful perk test(done during dry season)and show a “clean” waste pipe, can I avoid replacing the system?

Thanks for the question Jon! It really depends on the local Board of Health requirements. The state will have the standard Title V regulations, and then the town will layer on additional requirements. Your best bet is to check with a Title V inspector or a local engineer. They will be able to advise you on what you'll need to do. Good luck!
