Great vid and useful for newbies. You explain things very clearly. I love topstitching. If ya stand still too long, I'll put a stitch in ya. Lol. Sorry to hear about your fur baby. Hope the healing continues. ❤

Hey my name is Razia. I watch your videos and they r always very helpful. I have question about the thread for bag making. You use tex 70 for top stitch but what kind of thread? Second question is that what thread you use for the bobbin. I will be very glade if you answer these questions

I have a habit of asking questions before I watch a whole video so excuse me if I ask something that you address later in this video lolol, but I'm curious as to whether or not you have a tutorial for this little yellow pouch cuz I have been wanting to try one with faux leather on the bottom, I just purchased some from Joann's. This pouch is adorable and other than not knowing what that pic is on the front of it, I would totally buy something like that. Thank you for explaining things so well. I'm new at all this stuff at my ripe old age, and I appreciate people who are able to explain things so understandably. God bless! (Beautiful topstitching by the way!)

Where did you get that yellow vinyl from? I’ve been looking for a while but can’t find it. Btw, live your tutorials. Very professional and love the DJ radio microphone. So cool.

I just got my first industrial machine, any chance of you doing a video about sewing on one? I've learned I need a different thread with it verses my regular one and I have sooooo many questions lol. Like does the thread change depending on what your sewing? Say cotton verses vinyl? When I sew on cotton woven the tension is weird but when I sew on my waterproof canvas or vinyl it's fine. A video would be so helpful!!!! Oh and burning threads, when does that have to happen? EVERY time you have an end to a thread? When using bonded nylon thread?? I'm gonna have to buy a lot of lighters lol

I have a WHOLE video on thread actually!

I thoroughly enjoy your videos! But I have a question. I am intrigued by your set. No disrespect intended. But what does it represent? A get a space ship vibe. Or is it just fun lighting? Whatever it is, it fits your personality. Sorry to hear your stress with your kitty. Been there. Done that. But it’s what we do for our fur littles. Wouldn’t have it any other way. Take your time getting back into the groove. Back to the subject of this video. I appreciate you explaining the purpose of steps and details. I’m old school so much of this has been ingrained in my mind from when I learned to sew. But I have noticed that many sewers/designers simply say “for more professional results” do such and such. But I get the feeling they don’t really know the reason they are to do it - they have seen it done with the same verbiage so they simply repeat it. But at least they do it! Keep up the good work.

Cool lighting, but the entire room has cameras so Kittenz can move around and showcase the room while streaming on Twitch. The lighting is only on when she sits in this location - it gives everything a cool vibe. Check her out on Twitch, same name!

Oh the lighting? That's honestly something I did in 2020 to make the room more tolerable to sit in practically 24/7. I only use this lighting when I'm AT the PC. When I'm actually sewing, I have other lights that I switch on and the room does not look like this.

@@fiercekittenz your video just have a welcoming vibe, hoping you can help me out what equipment are you using to do your overhead videoing of your sewing tutorials so the viewers have a aerial close up view of what your sewing? Thank you 😊

my problem is sewing straight. no matter what i do i cannot sew straight for topstitching. this has my bags looking unprofessional. ugh what can i do to sew straighter?
@fiercekittenz2 жыл бұрын
Let the machine eat the fabric and pull it through. Just use your hands to guide it. You can also use magnetic guides to put on the needle plate that will keep the fabric flush against it. Another thing I did for my kids: draw a line with chalk or disappearing ink!

I have the hardest time with my topstitching looking good. Hardest thing!
@fiercekittenz Жыл бұрын
I've found that relaxing and letting the machine pull the fabric helps a lot. Also increasing stitch length will help it look less jagged if you twitch or make a mistake.
