Thank you bhai for simplifying this, please correct me if I am wrong - Transit - matlab stay at airport wait till your layover time Transit Visa - matlab you can leave airport and come after 6 hours or 1 day and re-entry in airport for next flight

I want to add : For transits, please keep the counterpart of the boarding pass with self and a copy of the ticket which shows PNR and onward journey details. Many airports ask for printed tickets for transits.

I have a story to share on your Indian airport point; I was travelling to Indonesia from Kolkata, and the officer asked me to show a visa. Even though I politely told him that Indians do not require a visa to enter into Indonesia, he questioned me the same thing again & again for no reason. Either he did not want to hear me or he wanted to push me for nothing! After questioning 4-5 times he told me to go to another counter (I have never been told in my life in any airport I visited to go to another counter).

My Brother has to cancel his Ticket to Alberta, Canada. Because at the time of ticket booking he didn't know about in USA it is mandatory to apply for transit visa. His Visa got rejected and he has to book ticket via Frankfort where transit visa isn't required. Because all of this he had to bear a loss of around 50K.

Canada k liye best and cheap route is via Istanbul through Turkish Airlines.....No transit Visa nothing.....U can try Lufthansa or Air france also through Frankfurt of Paris....

My point of view for free transit I think most of all country or base airport which use for transit (e.g. Dubai airport for Emirates airline, Muscat airport for oman air, Doha airport for Qatar airline etc...) they bring all passengers from different countries to base airport and then send to their respective places because there is no direct long distance flight (because they will not get enough passengers for direct flight)
