This is an awesome teaching! Halfway into this and a chord is struck in my heart. I have been subjected to the Catholic church's teaching over many years. I do find myself doing the exact same thing. It takes time to get into God's presence for me because of my mechanically driven routine like rituals I've believed to be worship over many years. Also, the idol worship of angels, saints, and Mary is so wrong and the catholic church is a false, crooked church. They keep people in bondage like my mother and her whole family. God bless you Pastor Dollar for being so truthful and going to the root of the problem. You are one of the greatest teachers of the Word and I pray that my worship comes truly from my heart so that my words are acceptable to God. This teaching has opened up my eyes. God Bless you!

Amen! I have to admit, I have been found guilty of 'mechanical' and 'rote' worship. 40 years ago when God through the power of His Holy Spirit and TRUTH from His written Word brought me out of a false teaching religion and into a PERSONAL relationship with Jesus Christ and into another denomination in which was all new to me, I got caught up in the 'mechanics' of church attendance, church membership and 'rote' worship. Not all of it was 'mechanical', most of it was REAL and true worship, but you tend to get caught up into it after a while and it does become repetitive and 'mechanical' and you slowly lose the value of true HEART worship. God forbid that after 40 years worship is not from the 'heart'. It is easy to get caught up into the 'mechanics' of it all. I've been there. When your heart becomes convinced that we are IN CHRIST and HE is IN US, and we RECEIVE all of the BENEFITS (Psalm 103:1-5) we have in and through HIM by FAITH and BELIEF in the finished and completed work of salvation and redemption that He provides for us through the Cross and convinced that there is nothing we can do to 'earn' it. That it is a GIFT imputed to us (imputed righteousness), Justification (declared righteous) by Grace through FAITH, and we are CONVINCED of this truth; the JOY, THANKFULNESS, and APPRECIATION that we have genuinely from our HEART, fuels the worship that God will honor and accept. It is TRULY a worship FROM THE HEART.
