What does it mean for something to be true? Does it make sense for one thing to be true for you and another thing true for me, or does truth have to be objective? Sentences can be true or false, but what about works of art? Do religious truths or moral truths have a special status, or are all truths in the same boat? Is it even possible to give a theory of truth, or is the concept of truth too fundamental to be explained? And why does truth even matter? What would be wrong with living a life built on falsehoods?
