Excellent point-by-point detail of the undercarriage of the Renegade! I was thrilled to learn the catalytic converter is NOT accessible from someone to crawl under and cut-off. We’ve had over 30 stolen in our area in a short period. I learned so much from this video and now will use your information in the future when I need to access something or locate it. THANK YOU! Keep these videos coming!

Are there any good jacking points underneath the car besides those on the pinch seams?
@berniediapersanderslukso92047 жыл бұрын
If you live in areas where they use salt on the road, it might be a good idea to rustproof your vehicle. I was forced to buy a new car because my subaru rusted out underneath. Now my new car has rustproofing. Hopefully this time there will little or no rust.

I love your lift. I, however, will need to use jack stands. Where o where are the contact points? Can't use the pinch weld area, so I'm perplexed. Your input would be greatly appreciated.
@JrsGasolineAlley6 жыл бұрын
If your worried about damaging the pinch seam then you can use these adapters for your jack. amzn.to/2EEcl5f
@michaelfrancalanzo44856 жыл бұрын
No, I was more concerned about jack stand placement. The jack stand doesn't seem to have a place flat enough for good contact. There is a spot I noticed that is more inside of where the pinch weld is, but not sure if that's a good contact point. The service manual photos are horrible.
@michaelfrancalanzo44856 жыл бұрын
Just a quick update... I FINALLY found some info and photos of where exactly this vehicle should be lifted from. It's exactly where I suspected. Forget the pinch weld. That's basically for emergency flat repair. It's more inward on a flat, steel ridge. I wish I could send a photo, but believe me, I tried it and it's MUCH safer than that pinch weld location. Too bad they don't make this info more obvious.
@michaelfrancalanzo44856 жыл бұрын
I actually did order those pinch weld pucks you recommended, and they worked perfectly! Perfect fit! They held up nicely too. While the car was lifted on the jack I placed the jack stands under a support rail (I'm sure you know the spot), and I got all 4 brakes done. The rears were a little tricky because I didn't have that special tool needed to twist the pistons flush, but I got it with needle nose pliers. Anyway, would not want to have lifted it without those pucks. Thanks!

I was just wondering where the screw in eyelet for towing is connected in the renegade and if it was strong enough to actually be pulled on if you were stuck in snow or something. I can find nowhere to pull. Also with the latitude 4x4 if a hitch was installed could you pull from that or would it be attached to subframe and be too weak?

Got a 2015 Renegade Trail hawk. When the weather is cold 32 or below, start it up and have a noise which seems to be coming from the center between driver and passenger seats and just in front of the dash area, underneath. The best way I can describe is it sounds like something is rotating, but noise sounds like "taDump". When the engine is warmed up the noise stops. Any suggestions? Took to dealer and they changed out the sway bar and sway bar links. Noise still there.
@malkitmanku42 жыл бұрын
Has jeep renegade protected panels underneath or is it just open. In the engine compartment are there panels on each side near the tyres where there seems to be about 4'open space.
