As someone who grew up with a visual learning disability, without knowing it was an actual disability that he was diagnosed with back when he was seven years old FFS. I just wanted to say thank you for making this video as it made. A lot of my lifelong challenges makes sense as a “oh there’s a reason for why this is the way it is not just because I’m stupid.” Especially when I work at a job where I’m constantly reading numbers and sequence but then when I read it out loud, my brain decides to swipe the numbers around, especially if one of those or multiple of the numbers are 6,8,5,9 and sometimes even zero . It’s not been super great for my mental health until I asked my mother if I’ve had a history of problems with it and she’s like “oh honey you had a visual processing the story your whole life. What are you talking about? That’s why you’re supposed to wear glasses.” Other kind of confused because I read somewhere that visual processing disorders can’t be treated with glasses, so where do I go to get some sort of therapy to learn some tools to make my job easier instead of struggling every day for 10 hours?

I have ADHD but I'm dying with headaches every single day from studying only 1hour. I try and I try but I feel so nauseous after a while. I don't need glasses.

Is visual processing the same as visual-spatial processing? And is visuospatial the same as visual-spatial?

cranial sacral therapy is used in some cases with people who have visual processing strains and relieves stress off the nerves and stuff on the skull

What you say beween 2.29 - 2.31 is what I am having difficulty with trying to watch your videos. I even put my hand up in front of my face when I felt like the background (motion)was attacking me at one point! I am having visual processing issues with this video but want to be included equally in watching it. Perhaps you are aiming the video at those that don't have the issues being spoken about but many of us that do will also be watching - in a large number of the viewers.

I know from Technical University Dortmund in Germany that have a work group that evaluate vision processing disorders with children (they have most of their knowledge from rehabilitation with stroke patients) that they say that over 80% of the kids with visual processing disorder were on the spectrum. what baffled me was the statement that visual processing disorders always means structural damage to the brain. i am a firm believer of vison therapy - maybe you could look it up somewhere close to you there might be some therapists that could help.

Opthamologists and Neurologists can be useful in dealing with visual processing issues. Visual disorders can relate to vision problems sometimes and other times they can be more cognitive in nature, which is why both professionals can be vital to proper diagnosis.
