TSP said they changed every setting possible to 6800rpm. I really wish I did a 6 spd now. Only did the auto cause was gonna do turbo build. The cam is TSP cam with their specs and own vvt tables. Hopefully get it figured out soon I'll keep you posted

I have a 2002 6.0 that I'm working on looking at the Dyno numbers that you have on your chevell trying to get to 500 hp going with a set of ls3 heads a tsp stage2 cam 229/236 629/615 any suggestions btw what gears are you running in your rearend

nice set up, what type of tranny are you running? in my chevelle i have a cammed ly6 with a ls3 intake.. i have a 6spd out of a 2006 GTO and 4:10 gears.. its a nice set up.. im fixing to install a lsa blower over the winter..

When you were running VVT in your Chevelle before you removed it, what oil pan did you use? I've heard there's a pressure relief valve inside the VVT GM oil pans, but the aftermarket oil pans aren't machined for the oil bypass valve. Even the F Body oil pan dosen't have the provision for the pressure relief valve. I was just cusrious what oil pan you used while you still had the VVT running in your Chevelle. Cheers

whats going on Jeff, im still using the same oil pan from day one of the build.. i got my pan from a company call Street and Performance. they made modified camaro pans to fit..the company is no longer around since the owner Mark Campbell passed. on my 67 chevelle build, i will have to go with a holley pan.. hopes this help jeff..

Not all bolts that have an additional angle required after torquing, are torque to yield. Some can be reused.

Hey I have a 08 tahoe and I swapped the 5.3 in there with a 10 ly6 but it has vvt and my harness doesn’t have the vvt can I just tune it off ? I just disconnected the vvt plug f

how did you get the the vvt to work with the t56 trans. I had my tsp vvt 4 cam tuned by tsp (mail order tune) and my car won't rev over 4500rpm. Just curious I will be trying a local tuner to see if they can figure it out. Thank you

+chris there could be alot of variables.. thats part of the reason i got rid of my vvt.. do you have a auto? which phase limitr areyou using? did the tuner user the correct vvt tables thats came with the limiter? keep me posted.. im curious..

+chris nice set up..love the 79 t/a im a 6spd guy, but from what you telling me it seems like its in the tune...possible the vvt tune.. when you sent your pcm to TSP did you tell them the VVT tables? here are tuners i use Chuck from Corvettes of Westchester Doug from East Coast Superchargering give them are call and talk to them and tell them your story.. im curious, what did TSP tell you when you keep sending your pcm back?

hmmmm, i would delete it.. but if youre not going you replace the cam for more power.. it might be easier to replace the bolt.

was it not making power til 3k rpm because it was phase locked on full advance? is it possible to lock it in the middle? and does it default to advance or retard when it is left unplugged?

it was phased, but it still was a dog.. cam swapped helped it get out the hole better

whats up Anthony, in my 69 camaro the injectors are from a stock ls2.. im not sure what lbs they are. i think they are 36 or 42lbs.. what are you building?

you can tell if you have 3 lil bolt above the opening where the crank comes thru the timing cover.. if you do then the engine is equipped with vvt

+chris i wish i could pin point your problem.. if the engine dies out at 4500rpm in park and gear i would think it has to be the tune..how does the car run before 4500 rpm? you going to install a turbo? im getting ready to do a video clip on a LSA supercharger on my 71 chevelle.. so make sure to check it out..

I will car runs great until 4500rpm. That's what I think something wrong with tune.

i will send the pcm someplace else for a tune and if they fix the problem ask TSP to pay for it.. 4x? youve been more than patient.. maybe the tranny still has the govenor enable? im very curious to know what it is..
