Not at all there is a misconception amongst persons of other faith any many muslims also believes so who are illiterate... the fact is Prophet was married to aisha bibi when she was 9yrs old (her minimum age in history) or when she was 13 yrs old or 16 yrs old( her max age in history) so there is no precise age of hers is there in history. Prophet never had any intention to marry her.. it was her father who asked prophet to marry his daughter and those tyms were the early ages of islam.. In arab world it was a matter of insult to the girl's family if a man denies to marry a girl specially when girl's parents ask the boy for marriage.. so he did not deny the offer given to him by bibi aisha's father.. people do not know the arabic culture and make a lot of fuss about this.. but it was very common even here in India too to marry a small girl with a person of age... secondly prophet only had two childern and they were from his first wife bibi Khadija... he had one son Ebrahim who died in early ages and his daughter bibi Fatema zehra s.a was married to Imam Ali a.s.
