The original idea was that Way Big’s predator was gonna be a microscopic virus but there wasn’t a good way to work it into the plot so it got scrapped. Still like the idea that one of the biggest creatures in the universe is pray to one of its smallest but the idea in this video is also cool.

One problem with this is that Way Big’s predator was confirmed to be the smallest predator in the nemetrix. So if we take size scaling into account, I think it wouldn’t make that much sense but after that… I like this theory.

I remember reading on the wiki that the Nemetrix did contain DNA for the T’kustar’s predator, and it is, ironically, the smalles alien in the Nemetrix. Maybe it hunts T’kustars in a way similar to how Ben defeated one using Nanomech in Omniverse.

I think they might be some kind of intelligent collective consciousness crammed into one tiny, highly efficient, highly cognizant lifeform. The stuff they've been shown capable of doing would require an absurdly high level of brain power and an extremely precise (possibly natural) knowledge of DNA/RNA manipulation and storage on a multicellular, multi species level. That's not even mentioning all of the Quantum mechanics in play that actually makes the Omnitrix work. Anyway, thanks for reading my rant, have a great day/night!

Actually, the Ultras have an artificial sun on their planet which mutated them into the 50 meter tall silver giants we know and love. It's probably solar radiation, but radiation from nukes would probably also explain the mutation as their ancestors were essentially just humans.

I like to think that way big species is so uncommon because of food, a being that big needs way to much food and energy to survive, and the fact that they are born in space and just wander aimlessly until they fall on a planet, they probably just starve on while they are in space, and even if they fall on a planet it probably doesn't have enough food for him to survive a long period of time
@AndrewMakesPuns

The tick is a very cool idea, but I'm not sold on the hydrogen premise - since it makes a very poor scaffold for any biomolecules and metallic hydrogen requires extreme conditions (maybe their bodies stabilise it?). I prefer the idea that To'Kustars leave some sort of embryo in the wake of specific types of cosmic storms and it grows from there. The tick would still work, since the To'Kustar's body would be enriched in elements (likely still a lot of hydrogen) and would provide the tick with continued space-faring abilities.

I think that this theory could work well especially for younger ticks. They are not big enough to consume bigger planets, so they have to search for smaller planets, moon and even Tokustars. And older ticks would consider Tokustars as possible pray for the most of the time because to much energy to spend for so little in return. This will work well by making food sources different for young and adult ticks, which benefits them because of how scattered food for them is

@@KirigiriKirin more likely I'd believe, assuming they're purely evolved and not technologically augmented, that it's a sort of biological alloy from various metals, which could also help explain how they're so big since likely their bones are also made from this or similar alloy rather than calcium. A metallic exoskeleton would also be better suited for containing a high amount of hydrogen under pressure and also could create a magnetic field that could turn the hydrogen into an energized beam.

One though to the idea that To'kustars should be more abundant, since it's specified that it's unpredictable cosmic storms that create them, maybe the idea is more that they are born from cosmic storms that happen at an irregular moment. Normal cosmic storms are understood well enough that we can consider them fairly predictable (at least timing wise,) but the ones the To'kustars are born from would be something more special that lacks understanding and are a rare occurrence (hence why not many are seen throughout the series.) This would be my understanding for why To'kustars aren't a more common alien specis anyways

1:02 Its kind of like the Anti-Matter Paradox. The laws of physics say that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, and therefore, for all the matter in the universe there must be an equal amount of anti-matter. The issue being that if matter and anti-matter existed in equal amount throughout the universe, no complex forms of matter would be able to form due to the constant opposing interactions. This means that either there isn't an equal amount of anti-matter, or space is divided into matter and anti-matter specific zones where one has gained a foothold over the other and reached a stable presence.

You can't have something lighter than air still sink in it. The heavier air would push the "hydrogen tokustar" upwards, with gravity. And, hydrogen cant form complex molecules needed for life. Unlike Carbon (and debatibly silicon)

Hydrogen is so light because its a gas as a base element. If it's in a compound it's going to have wildly different properties, and it has to be in compounds, because waybig isn't a gas. It's also not a good element to make life out of primarily, because life is complicated, and hydrogen atoms can only make one bond. Hydrogen only has one electron in a valence shell that can hold two. carbon has 4 valence electrons and can hold 8, which allows it to make 4 bonds either by giving up, taking, or sharing 4 electrons. It can make complicated molecules, while hydrogen can only cap off molecules. Everyone theorizes about silicon based lifeforms because it has the same number of valence electrons as carbon allowing it to create complicated molecules.

I see some arguments about the big tick not being a viable predator due to size. While fair, I have a theory. What if the big tick can only prey on immature to’kustars? Beings like crocodiles, hippos, and elephants do not really have any predators but are vulnerable from birth until they are both biologically and mentally capable of surviving. We do not know the developmental cycle of a to’kustar. If the big tick can latch on to one young enough, it can be difficult. Though maybe the big tick can not get into the cosmic storms to do so. Just a theory.

If the size difference of the The Big Tick and Waybig is to large then u would need a lot of Big Ticks as well just for devouring just 1 Takustar....

Not at all! The Big Tick alone destroyed an entire planet! To'Kustars aren't as big as planets so it would be a lot easier

I think that to hunk Tokustar you would need to be absurdly strong because Way big was able to match planet destroying laser so you would need to be very strong to even attempt killing them. If I had to guess most Tokustar die to other sapient races or even other people from their kind.

I think that Classic Way Big is the best design and this is a really cool idea. I could definitely see a story point where Ben and either Gwen and Kevin or Rook helping out a To'Kustar that's being attacked by some ticks.

Hydrogen can only form 1 connection per atom. Because of this hydrogen doesn't form long chains of molecules and therefore can't be a base for living beings Carbon can, because it can have 4 connections, enabling it to be a base for long, complicated molecules

Was just recommended this video and i like it alot! As for my favorite way big design its personally UAF way big, with them being inspired by ultraman, UAF feels the most ultraman like, og and omniverse have less heroic looking faces, and a strange set of second eyes, making them look more monsterous, in addition UAF way big is way sleeker which works better for me. I also do like ultimate waybig as a reference to newer ultras, but he was under utilized and doesn't really work as an ultimate for me, since aside from increasing in size he gained no new abilities, which is a really bad ultimate in my opinion.
