my answer for my interview was this below, I didn't lie and I believe I showed them that I can work with multiple design processes if needed: Well, it depends on what project I am working for and obviously the company’s culture, but since I worked for a lot of different companies, I got to use a couple of different frameworks, but the one I like using the most is the double diamond, because this methodology offers enough time and resources to do research, design and testing before delivering, so we tend to have a better approach, but there were companies, specially the small ones that needed things to be built faster, so I had to use frameworks like Design Sprint. In general, my process is pretty much a lot of research, benchmarking, prototyping, testing and refining. So just to set a practical example, for my Bradesco projects, my design process consisted of mixing elements from UX Lean with double diamond, so the project development was divided in 5 stages: 1 - the ideas stage, which means meeting with a multidisciplinary team to align the strategy we would implement, including a desk research, benchmarking, doing a CSD Matrix, studying the AS IS product, and doing quantitative research. 2 - moving on, the second stage was prototyping and wireframing, where I did user flows and designed high fidelity prototypes. 3 - the third stage is where I presented the user journey for over 200 people from both design department and executive directors, so we could get their approval of the project. 4 - and then, fourth stage was focused of user testing research. 5 - and at last, we’ve done refinements based on the usability test results. And with that in mind, with what I just said, is there anything in your opinion that I can improve in my design process to make it fit better with your company?

This was one o the first videos where I didn't mind the "hit the like button and subscribe" because this video was very informative. Normally I overthink this question believing I need to check as many boxes possible on what the interviewer wants to hear, but it shouldbe an honest answer of how I approach a problem. I appreciate the "no wrong answers" part. Ty ty ty.

This was a wonderfully supportive, encouraging pep-talk! I liked how you said we all have a process, even if we haven't actively written it down- very "can-do" attitude!

Exactly. Make sure you document your process. It always helps you improve.

My issue is I can't remember the Professional Words... But while doing it i am actually kind of following a process.... and as you said unknowingly I am actually following a process...however small it may be , but it is leading to some decisions

Thanks for the tip! It seemed I was supposed to reiterate the process such as empathize, define, ideate etc. and go into more detail but that always felt awkward and not correct. Thanks for reassuring that there is no right or wrong, it's simply "how do you get started?"

How is design thinking different to the double diamond? Aren’t they the same method?
@UXANDMORE2 ай бұрын
They both are same yes.

Thanks so much for this. I have been struggling to understand this question and wondering if my process is "wrong", but I am reassured by what you said. However, I have felt that when I do answer this question and I mention that I follow the double diamond structure and give an example of my process in a project, the interviewer often seems like they are doubtful. I think I might get into too much detail, but I don't know how to strike a balance between giving enough detail and context and explaining what I did and why in a general sense.

It is a tough one. One good method to work on it is to practice a lot in a strict time frame. E.g. Try explaining your process in 5min, 10min and 15 min. Time would help you priorities what you would want to communicate and what to skip.
