What Is Your Favorite Story From Each Season Of Modern Doctor Who?

Father's day. Girl in the fireplace. The Shakespeare code. Fires of Pompeii. Vincent and the Doctor. The Doctor's wife. A town called Mercy. Robots of Shorewood. The Woman who lived. Smile or Thin ice. I'm not sure which one I like better. Or maybe World enough and time and the doctor falls. It's hard because it's my favorite series of newho. Demons of the Punjabi. Nickolas Tesla night of terror. Or Spyfall. War of the Sontarins. Dot and Bobble or 72 yards. Some of them I don't know which one I like more. But this is my list of favorite episodes of modern Doctor who

Probably nothing too surprising; I tend to pretty closely line up with the fan consensus in polls like the Dr Who Magazine/DWTV Series 1: "The Empty Child/ The Doctor Dances" Series 2: "The Girl in the Fireplace" Series 3: "Human Nature"/"The Family of Blood" Series 4: "Silence in the Library/ Forest of the Dead" 2008-9 Specials: "The Waters of Mars" Series 5: "The Big Bang" (special mention to "Amy's Choice" and "Vincent and the Doctor" and "Flesh and Stone", blimey what a year) Series 6: "The Girl Who Waited" Series 7: "Asylum of the Daleks" (if B gets a mention then Name of the Doctor) 2013 Specials: "The Day of the Doctor" Series 8: "Flatline" Series 9: "Heaven Sent" (almost as high up as 5 for me, love all the two parters this season) Series 10: "World Enough and Time/ The Doctor Falls" Series 11: Rosa Series 12: Fugitive of the Judoon (still consider this below average) Series 13: "Village of the Angels" Specials between 13 and 14: Power of the Doctor, if I try and do just the Tennant specials it's too hard. Any return of Ace was going to be joyful and I wasn't disappointed. Meeehh. Wild Blue Yonder I guess? Although it introduced the magic nonsense which ruined S14 for me so I also hate it with a passion. I like the Giggle but the Celestial Toymaker was done so amazingly well by BF that this game of catch just didn't work for me. Series 14/'1': "Boom" Gotta shout out to the Christmas Specials too: A Christmas Carol (honourable mentions to the Snowmen, Last Christmas and The Husbands of River Song, and Twice Upon a Time. Blimey I'd better get watching before Xmas hits).

The Empty Child (but Dalek runs it close) The Impossible Planet Blink The Unicorn & the Wasp The Waters of Mars Vincent and the Doctor (Eleventh Hour very close though) The Doctor's Wife The Angels Take Manhattan (or Day of the Doctor if that counts) Mummy on the Orient Express (just ahead of Flatline) Heaven Sent (Under the Lake is great as well) World Enough and Time Kerblam! The Haunting of Villa Diodati (narrowly in front of Fugitive of Judoon) Village of the Angels (War of Sontarans good too) The Power of the Doctor (but also really like Eve of Daleks) Dot and Bubble

Mine’s drastically different lol The Empty Child / The Doctor Dances School Reunion Human Nature / The Family of Blood Silence in the Library / Forest of the Dead The End of Time Vincent and the Doctor The Doctor’s Wife Cold War Flatline Heaven Sent World Enough and Time / The Doctor Falls Series 11 and below…well I’ll be nice. N/A lol But I really like The Power of the Doctor!

Series 1: "Dalek" - I agree, it's wonderful. Series 2: "The Impossible Planet"/"The Satan Pit" Series 3: "Human Nature"/"The Family of Blood" - It embodies everything I love about Doctor Who. Series 4: "The Unicorn and the Wasp" - I love "Midnight", but I like a bit of comedy, too. 2008-9 Specials: "The Waters of Mars" Series 5: "Amy's Choice" - I wish the modern series did more of these 'sideways in time' stories. Series 6: "The God Complex" - Sorry, Prowl! Series 7: "A Town Called Mercy" - Flawed but fun. 2013 Specials: "The Day of the Doctor" Series 8: This is where it gets difficult. Probably "Dark Water"/"Death in Heaven" Series 9: "Heaven Sent" - Although I don't think it is the masterpiece it's made out to be. Series 10: Pass Series 11: Pass Series 12: Hard pass Series 13: I quite liked "Village of the Angels" - but nothing else. Series 14/'1': Haven't seen it, sorry.
