"KZbin isn't a website that I visit, It's a community where I live" is the best quote I have heard to describe KZbin. Love it!
@ReclaimingMotherhood12 жыл бұрын
Love this, man. Just shared it everywhere I can. I find that a lot of people just don't get the community aspect here. They see it as a content delivery platform, not a social platform. Thanks for sharing this!

I love everything you have on your bookshelf. I've found a lot of joy out of KZbin and the people on this site. I don't have any content uploaded to my channel but I've met so many KZbinrs by talking to them online that last year, I had the privilege of being in quite a few of their videos as an extra. I came to VidCon this summer and was able to sit down with them like friends; we talked, laughed and shared a drink. It felt like a family and I'm super blessed to be a part of it.

I totally agree, and a lot of people don't understand it. There is so much more to KZbin than consuming content. I often feel compelled to leave comments even if I don't think they'll be read by the creator. It's so natural and more like conversation that sometimes I forget what I've written when someone replies back.

Loved it and I agree. most of my life i've searched for a way of expressing this ideas in my mind, until I got into youtube, those ideas just sat there, collecting dust, since I got in youtube, my imagination has flourished, my creativity has gone through the roof, i'm more positive, more outgoing, less shy, more bold, ready to take on new challenges and ideas. TV, radio are nice, but youtube is some i'm glad came along, its made me me, its helped bring me out of my head and on film :)

Very well said, sir! Connections are why KZbin is my favorite form of entertainment. With every comment I post there is a possibility (however slight) that the creator will see the comment and even if he or she doesn't, other people can read and agree or disagree.

I love what you said about youtube! Its cool to think about how new forms of entertainment arent replacing eachother, they are adding to eachother! Its amazing to wonder how many kinda of media and entertainment will be around in a few hundered years!! I always enjoy your videos!! :) :)

Watching this in 2020, it's so far out to think that KZbin will hit the 15 year mark this year (Me at the Zoo will have it's birthday in May 😉), meaning this perspective is half of KZbin's lifetime ago. Also, hearing this from an old school vlogger, in a video posted shortly after I'd first gotten on here, it's wild how much of this sentiment has been relevant on a macro scale through the evolution of the platform and social media at large in the years between then and now. I always knew Corey as a dance guy, and it's been so long since I've watched you/him that it's such an interesting way to come full circle, when I clearly remember Corey at the helm of one of the last big KZbin Gatherings (who else remembers those, before VidCon?)... and this is all when just last night is been thinking about the uniqueness and significance of the platform... Far out!..
