As a long-time pilot/owner of conventional light aircraft (Cessna,Grumman,Piper etc) and having built homebuilt aircraft using Lycoming engines, I maintain that the future of private aviation no longer lies with these types of aircraft as they are far too costly to buy, operate and maintain for the 'sport' or 'leisure' flyer - and they are subject to all kinds of onerous over-regulation these days! Your aircraft looks simple to build using aluminium (straight lines no compound curves) and seems to perform and handle well. Congratulations!

The success of Archon SF-1, is the simplicity of the construction with the all metal airframe held together mostly by using blind rivets, which in turn reduces dramatically the construction time. The concept of this project, is to provide an affordable complete kit of the aircraft that anyone could build in his garage, by only using very basic tools. The kit will be supplied with a very detailed construction manual, that includes photos of the construction process. The engine options are wide enough for all pockets and needs. Taking into account the very pleasant and forgiving flight characteristics of the Archon SF-1, as well as the low operating and maintenance costs of it, we strongly believe that this aircraft will redefine the Sport/Recreational category. @@SpreadFlying come please dream with me for a moment. 90lbs of thrust via 2 turbojet engines, key feature is the weight of the powerplant, is a whopping 2kg per engine Thrust@45lbs@3500.00 a piece - cheaper than a Avee 80hp turbo at and a weight savings of 150-200lbs. The 5lb ///-45lb thrust cans, burn 8lt/min climb/to power. 1/6ish power weight ratio @ 500-800lb TO weight - im thinking it would hit 1,000 plus with a nice 88kt climb cruise speed. The plane without the prop drag will be a bit slicker and should build speed nicely, its very clean without 200lbs of prop motor drag and weight. Gaining a nice bonus by not having a huge prop area drag which is significant, even though the aircraft is has induced drag from its middle wing.. Additional fuel tank perhaps with an estimated 2 hrs of full power flying or 4 hours cruise. Cruise Speed 120KT at 4/3 power. 800lb plane with 90lbs of thrust might need a slightly longer runway as it will lose some prop torque characteristics. In the end you would have a turbojet, multiengine vectored thrust as well...aircraft for around 40k all glass loaded with 3 axis autopilot.

Why hasn't this airplane taken the hobby by storm? I like it for sure, live in North North America The general shape reminds me of something, it works great at a much smaller scale with the flat surfaces, if the airframe on this scale is strong I want to build one. I hope it doesn't get too heavy before it is marketed, it needs to be as light as possible, please don't make it a heavy homebuilt that needs a150 hp lycoming.

Mr. Tom Risar. We are continuously improving the design and experimenting with its potential. It is as strong as it needs to be for the airplane of this category, rated for +4 -2 Gs. The prototype was tested with a Rotax 503, producing only 50HP. The performance was amazing taking into account that engine. Its empty weight is 205kg, that converts to approximately 450lbs. It's slow. The berkut flys at 250 to 300mph long ez even a e racer goes 220mph and its a side by side 2 seat. You can buy one for as much as this or less money.

Ολα καλά είναι στο αεροπλάνο παιδια, χρειάζεστε περισσότερο μάρκετινγκ και συνεχεις διαφημίσεις του αεροσκάφους, μέσα απο youtube, instagram, facebook, σε ιστοσελίδες του εξωτερικού, σε ειδησεογραφικά κανάλια....ήδη κάνετε πολλές σχετικές προσπάθειες αλλά συνεχίστε αδιάκοπα...Ο επιμένων νικά. Επίσης κάτι χωρίς παρεξήγηση, φτιάξτε το λίγο το αεροσκάφος, βάψτε το ή κάντε το παραλλαγή, καλύψτε τα κενα που έχει στα φτερά και σε οποιες επιφάνειες. Χρησιμοποιήστε κάποια ποιο όμορφα υλικά για διακόσμησή του περισσότερο, όπως πλαστικό , ανθρακονήματα, γυαλίστε το, κάντε το να δείχνει πιο επαγγελματικό. Εσωτερικά, καλύτερο κάθισμα, κάποιο χρωματισμό, περισσότερη ποιότητα στην εμφάνιση του κόκπιτ. Γενικά το αεροσκάφος πρέπει να γίνει πολύ πιο εμφανίσιμο. Πρέπει να εντυπωσιάζει με την εμφάνιση, πέρα απο την τεχνική μεριά.Είναι πολύ γκρίζο...Θέλετε πελάτες για το κιτ του αεροσκάφους;; Δώστε περισσότερη βάση στην εμφάνιση. Τα πτητικά χαρακτηριστικά, τον σχεδιασμό, την πλοιμότητα, και την αξιοπιστία, τα έχει ήδη κερδίσει με την αξία του.

this is the only thing that makes me want to fly again, over 500 hrs in cessnas, pipers, beechcrafts nope its boring flying, great if going A-B, but not a pilots plane with exception of maybe a J3 cub. Any distribution in the USA? If not how to I get involved? How do I buy a kit, will read comments thank you!! Specs empty with nothing, no engine only gear installed. Match the SF-1 with a powerplant from jetbeetle. G-aerosports might want to talk to jetbeetle affordable small jet engines. A lightweight turbo-prop or a 250lb thrust turbojet! NOW, thats something that would get guys to drive out to the local FBO.
