Get a good audio book of psalms to listen to through the night. Play it low while you sleep. Holman Christian standard Bible is a good Bible. The scriptures will replace your anxiety with security and strength. You will have peace and joy. Your heart and mind will focus on your Heavenly Father.

Yes! #1 could be Abraham. IMHO (& the opinions of many others), Genesis 1-11 is the Introduction of the Bible, while the call of Abraham in chapter 12 is the beginning of the main part of the Bible.

@@eprd313 to be his partners eternally. The devil unfortunately dooms this by causing man to sin, which God can't stand. The devil doesn't force man to eat the fruit but rather influences his decision to do so. Since man has free will and made the choice, God can't put all the blame on the devil. Of course God had made a plan of redemption by deciding to send his son to take all the sin of the world. At first God tried to wipe out clean and start back, by using Noah(of course you would probably say "God is genocidal" but there are millions of people who if given the chance would wipe humans clean off the planet and start back). He only keeps Noah, and his family. This of course doesn't work as sin is back into the world, and God cannot let sin be in his presence so he distances himself away from man more and more. Suffering pain and misery continues. People start questioning if God exists more and more as he let's man do the things they want to do. Man lies, kills, cheats, murders, steals. But a single man accepting a covenant with God, he chooses that man's physical seed to be his chosen people for now. Out of these physical chosen people will come the living embodiment of him in the flesh later down the line. Through these people he sends the prophets, who warn, listen and warn others about God. But still they don't want to hear, so God judges again, again and again(of course you would call the creator of life who lives outside time evil to judge the people who have kept sinning and will sin later down the line.) Eventually when God realizes that the people can't keep the law, and they can't be sacrificing sheep again and again and again to get them rid of their sins, he then comes in the flesh, to be the final sacrifice once and for all. He makes a new covenant, this time a spiritual one so that people are forgiven once and for all. This time these people who accept the covenant become the spiritual seed of Abraham(all of this is mentioned in the new testament.) But God cannot let all the injustice that goes on in the world keep on going unpunished, so instead of judging again, and again, and again, he sets a final date, when all evil in the world will be judged(judgement day.) Where those who lied and hurt people, those who murdered innocent children, those who raped, those who stole, will all receive the punishment of being cast out of his presence forever. For even here on earth we enjoy his presence, both the good and the bad. But those who accept this covenant, accept the fact that God has forgiven them and they can let go of all this sin, and become new receive the new life, and long to worship God forever. You see to us justice is for terrorists to be killed. An eye for an eye. And God gave man this law because people are impatient. But true love, true justice, is giving the chance of even the worst terrorist, rapist or murderer a chance to repent, and cry out to their maker. They yearn for his presence, because nothing under the earth will bring ultimate satisfaction unless a yearnful relationship with our maker. Everything is temporal. I hope I answered your question and gave you a detailed understanding of the bible. And I hope you truly get to see the sacrifice your maker who loves you did for you. Have a blessed day.

Lil Curry boo It's so wonderful to see a young person seek the LORD God! He does say, "Seek me and you shall find me." (Jeremiah 29:13) I recently, (in the autumn of 2015), began to fear the end of the world too. That caused me to diligently seek the LORD, through reading His word and listening to audio bible as well. The book of Proverbs teaches us that the fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge. (Proverbs 1:7) Always test everything you hear with scripture, so you know if it's true or not. (Acts 17:11 & Romans 3:4) You will know the truth if you keep His word, so always seek His word for the truth. (John 8:31 & John 17:17) May the LORD guide you in all truth, as you seek for answers. Agape!

Strong's concordance: from Proverbs 9:10 Fear: H3374 Hebrew: יראה Transliteration: yir'âh Pronunciation: yir-aw' Definition: Feminine of H3373; fear (also used as infinitive); morally reverence: - X {dreadful} X {exceedingly} fear (-fulness). Reverence was bold in this definition - which helped me a lot with understanding of this verse.

To love is to recognize and esteem the value of something. God is the only One that has self caused, infinite, and perfect value, therefor we are to recognize and esteem His value with all that we have and all that we are. It also means the value of ALL people is derivative and equal, because we are all created by Him in His image. So when I am commanded by the One with ultimate value to love my neighbor, my fellow human, I am called to recognize and esteem their value as being equal to my own, no matter where they are from or what they believe. I don't have to agree with them or what they do, but I am required to value them.

Hebrew is a picture language. Each letter has its own symbol. Ever thought of breaking down these Hebrew words by their letters? It opens a deeper meaning into the word themselves.
@nicholashollis1522
@nicholashollis1522 7 жыл бұрын
Hebrew *was* a picture language in the sense that each letter related to an actual meaning thus you had to build words around those very simple ideas. However, some time later, Hebrew became like most languages where two or three letter roots would form the base meaning of the word; otherwise there would be virtually no complexity in the Hebrew language. But if you'd like to know, I did a breakdown of this word a while ago; and the individual letters formed something like... 'strong father protects house', which is somewhat humorous but also a lovely and simple picture.

2 Samuel 6: "And when they came to Nachon’s threshing floor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God and took hold of it, for the oxen shook it. And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah, and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God " 1 Samuel 6: 19 "But God struck down some of the inhabitants of Beth Shemesh, putting seventy of them to death because they looked into the ark of the Lord. The people mourned because of the heavy blow the Lord had dealt them" 1 Samuel 15: 13 "Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass." Hosea 13: 16 "The people of Samaria must bear their guilt, because they have rebelled against their God. They will fall by the sword; their little ones will be dashed to the ground, their pregnant women ripped open" Hosea 2:" Upon her children also I will have no mercy, because they are children of whoredom. For their mother has played the whore; she who conceived them has acted shamefully." Jeremiah 19: 8 - 9 "I will devastate this city and make it an object of horror and scorn; all who pass by will be appalled and will scoff because of all its wounds. I will make them eat the flesh of their sons and daughters, and they will eat one another’s flesh because their enemies will press the siege so hard against them to destroy them.’" Isaiah 13: 9 - 16 "See, the day of the Lord is coming -a cruel day, with wrath and fierce anger- to make the land desolate and destroy the sinners within it [...] Their infants will be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses will be looted and their wives violated." Exodus 21: 7 - 8 "When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again." Exodus 21: 20-21 “Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result, but they are not to be punished if the slave recovers after a day or two, since the slave is their property." Numbers 31: 17-18 “Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that has known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.” Numbers 25: 4 "Take all the heads of the people and hang them up before the Lord against the sun.” Deuteronomy 22: 23 - 24: "If a man happens to meet in a town a virgin pledged to be married and he sleeps with her, you shall take both of them to the gate of that town and stone them to death - the young woman because she was in a town and did not scream for help” Deuteronomy 22:20 "But if this charge is true, and the evidence of the young lady’s virginity wasn’t found, they are to bring her to the door of her father’s house. Then the men of the city are to stone her with boulders until she dies for doing a detestable thing in Israel-acting like a prostitute while in her father’s house." Deuteronomy 22: 28-29 "If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay her father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the young woman, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives" Leviticus 26: 26 - 29 "When I cut off your supply of bread, ten women will be able to bake your bread in one oven, and they will dole out the bread by weight. You will eat, but you will not be satisfied. If in spite of this you still do not listen to me but continue to be hostile toward me, then in my anger I will be hostile toward you, and I myself will punish you for your sins seven times over. You will eat the flesh of your sons and the flesh of your daughters." Leviticus 20:9: "For every one that curseth his father or mother shall be surely put to death." Deuteronomy 20: "When you march up to attack a city, make its people an offer of peace. If they accept and open their gates, all the people in it shall be subject to forced labor and shall work for you. If they refuse to make peace and they engage you in battle, lay siege to that city. When the Lord your God delivers it into your hand, put to the sword all the men in it. As for the women, the children, the livestock and everything else in the city, you may take these as plunder for yourselves. And you may use the plunder the Lord your God gives you from your enemies. This is how you are to treat all the cities that are at a distance from you and do not belong to the nations nearby" Exodus 12: 29 "And so at midnight the Lord killed every firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the prisoner who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of the livestock. Pharaoh got up during the night, he, all his officials, and all the Egyptians, and there was loud wailing in Egypt, because there was not a house without someone dead in it." Ezekiel 4: 12 -13 "Eat the food as you would a loaf of barley bread; bake it in the sight of the people, using human excrement for fuel.” The Lord said, “In this way the people of Israel will eat defiled food among the nations where I will drive them.”" Ezekiel 9: " As I listened, he said to the others, “Follow him through the city and kill, without showing pity or compassion. Slaughter the old men, the young men and women, the mothers and children, but do not touch anyone who has the mark. Begin at my sanctuary.” So they began with the old men who were in front of the temple. Then he said to them, “Defile the temple and fill the courts with the slain. Go!” So they went out and began killing throughout the city." 1 Timothy 2: 11-15 "A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner. But women will be saved through childbearing-if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety." Luke 9: 57 - 62 " He said to another man, “Follow me.” But he replied, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.” Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God.” Still another said, “I will follow you, Lord; but first let me go back and say goodbye to my family.” Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”" Luke 14:26 “If any man come to me and hate not his father and mother, and wife and children, and brethren and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple." Luke 19: 26 - 27 “He replied, ‘I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what they have will be taken away. But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them-bring them here and kill them in front of me.’” Matthew 8: 30 - 32 "Some distance from them a large herd of pigs was feeding. The demons begged Jesus, “If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.” He said to them, “Go!” So they came out and went into the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and died in the water" 1 Peter 2: 18 - 20 "You who are slaves must submit to your masters with all respect. Do what they tell you-not only if they are kind and reasonable, but even if they are cruel. For God is pleased when, conscious of his will, you patiently endure unjust treatment. Of course, you get no credit for being patient if you are beaten for doing wrong. But if you suffer for doing good and endure it patiently, God is pleased with you." 1 Corinthians 11: 6-9 "For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off; but if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should cover her head. A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; neither was man created for woman, but woman for man" Revelation 16: 3 "The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it turned into blood like that of a dead person, and every living thing in the sea died." Psalms 137: 8-9 "Daughter Babylon, doomed to destruction, happy is the one who repays you according to what you have done to us. Happy is the one who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rocks." Job 2: 3 - 6 "Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil. And he still maintains his integrity, though you incited me against him to ruin him without any reason.” “Skin for skin!” Satan replied. “A man will give all he has for his own life. But now stretch out your hand and strike his flesh and bones, and he will surely curse you to your face.” The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, he is in your hands; but you must spare his life.”" Isaiah 45: 6-7 “I am the Lord, and there is none else. I form the light, and create darkness; I make peace, and create evil; I, the Lord, do all these things." Matthew 5: 18 "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."

I love these words studies because they help me see how the Hebrew word is used in other books of the Bible and other contexts... For example, hearing that Ahavah is like a marital, parental, brotherly love (among others) shows me ways God loves us and how we express this love to each other. When a person doesn't know or hasn't studied a language, it helps to see the ways a word is used with the pictures to describe it. The beauty and power of God's Word is that it can be universally understood and appreciated and enjoyed. The more we study and know, the deeper we go. 💗🙌📖😍

This word study is amazing!! It makes me sad that the Hebrew roots of our faith is so often forgotten about these days but it brings so much warmth to my heart to hear the words our Saviour must have heard and used through these videos.Thank you all so much for the work you have put into this project, and may God bless you all.

In my Biblical Hebrew module we studied the complexities of the "Shema" passage - IT'S SO JUICY!!! This video excites me so much 😄 My Hebrew teacher taught us to remember "ahav" = "love" as "ahav a crush on you" and I'll never forget it 😊
