Hi! I'm a Catalan guy trying to learn some English, so I watch some KZbin videos in order to practice my listening skills, and I bumped into your story. It's really interesting to know your point of view about the reality of our society, because we're so used to living in it that we don't pay attention to certain aspects that might shock you. First of all, I have to say that you're so brave for your fresh start away from your country and most of all, your beloveds. Certainly, housing is an increasing problem nowadays for everybody in Barcelona, and in all of Spain's big cities. Imagine how difficult it must be for local youngsters with their first wages trying to live by themselves away from their parents... Another topic you talk about is how to make new friends. I guess in big cities it tends to be harder because the stressful life makes people more focused on their own matters and not so sociable with unknown people. However, once the ice is broken, I'm sure Catalan people are willing to help and make you feel comfortable. I'm just subscribed to your channel so I can stay on the loop for your new stories. Welcome to Barcelona and good luck.

Great video, Natasha! I just moved to an Andalusian city but visited Barcelona earlier this year. Loved the international and local vibe at the same time❤ I wish you good luck and enjoy the city :)

What brought you to Spain? Desire, partner, business? It looks amazing. Especially as I look out my 🇨🇦 window at the chilly snow piling up. 😂

Gotta love the bell peppers!! Did you notice on your travels that the grocery stores have the ugly one? They ship the good looking ones out! 🤪

As a KZbinr, do you need to be an autónoma? I’m Canadian, and my channel is registered there, but I would prefer to move my Adsense to Spain. Not sure if I can do that when I’m not an autónoma.

Great video! Barcelona sounds like a fun city! Maybe you can live in a more northern European city someday if you dont mind it being colder. The public transportation system there sounds great. About all we have where i live is city bus systems and taxi cabs. I was busy earlier in the week so couldnt watch and message then. To me you would think things would become cheaper over time because cheaper ways are being found of making things. I know here in the US corporate greed might be a reason why 😢 i really enjoyed watching this!

if you want to make friends in Barcelona, sing up for a castellers group. there are all kinds of people who rehearse twice a week and make castells ( humen castles )on the weekends and there are some people for all arround the world, and all diferents ages

There is something that no one speaks of. How can you live there, without a partner, alone? ( bills and everything is 2 times more expensive)

You can check this out for free on my website 😊 It doesn’t include rent prices as this depends on the time of year but gives a nice overview of the main neighborhoods.

Hey, I’m currently applying for a working holiday visa for Barcelona from Canada, just wondering if you have any recommendations regarding medical insurance?

For medical insurance that’s a bit tricky as it depends on your situation but I can recommend SafetyWing travel medical insurance. 😃
