Just bought mine. Be weary if you have pets, especially long haired dogs. I had it do my living room, and it clogged on the first single room clean, with 2 short haired dogs. That said, I hadn't run my previous vacuum in a while since it broke, and the floor was especially dirty with dust and such. After clearing that the jam, and running it 1-2x a day, I havent had a single issue with it clogging. There are ALOT of users who are complaining about it clogging, and even have sent them back. On the plus side, coming from my Roborock S5Max, this thing is QUIET!!! I keep it on turbo, and its really low, I thought it was broken lol. I put it on regular, and I thought it wasn't working at all it was so quiet, and yet it still picked stuff up. That is actually INSANE. Cleaning solution, I just put my Tineco solution in there. Its the same ingrediants. You can use vinegar as well, though, the floors feel so clean, that I think i'd stick with the solution. Worth? Hell yes. Just be weary if you have pets. There is a reason this guy runs it 2x a day lol. If he didn't, the base station is likely clogging on him if he doesnt.

Thank you for this because I just couldn't understand why I was having trouble when I first got it I was always trying to do the Full House clean. I run my vacuum once every 6 months. I'm sure there was a lot of debris even though my house doesn't look that nasty. It was clogging and not emptying and I was about to send the thing back before I really educated myself on how to set up schedules with tasks so that it runs back to the base and empties before it goes on to the next task. So if I want to do a full house clean I have a special schedule set up and it does two or so rooms at the time as a task so I can be sure it will go back and empty itself. It works wonderfully and I've not had any clogging issues since

Dreamtech robots don't get clogged as easy. The ejection port is huge. It also detects when full and will return mid clean. Also L20 has edge cleaning and better obstacle avoidance

Obstacle avoidance is bad, it barely works most of the time and (this might be not a con for the price) the base doesn’t clean itself(the S8 Pro Ultra can drain the water in the mop cleaning area, but you have to take out and clean it by yourself on Q revo.) There isn’t really much cons to tell here, it’s just a good vacuum.

Seconding what @toucanroombas said, the obstacle avoidance isn't good enough to avoid dog poop and for that reason I'll only ever run it when at home. Otherwise, it's been rock solid and it's done a great job at cleaning, even really grimy floors!

The docking station clogs on large cleaning sessions, especially if you have dogs. You need to break it up by room, and this guy seems to have to run it 2x a day in order to prevent clogs. Ppl say the obstacle avoidance sucks. Idk about that. my house has been designed around robot vacuums, and I come from the S5max, that doesnt have obstacle avoidance. I haven't had a issue, its avoided things like a fallen blanket and cables, even shoes. It even got stuck when a picture fell over and a blanket fell on the other side, leaving it no way to get out, it didnt get jammed on the blanket like my old vacuum would. That said, if dog poop is a concern, the S8 is probably what you want. other than that... I am loving it. Floors are ridiculously clean, its like running my Tineco S5 Mop everyday, which is really really impressive. But I've only had it for a week. so we will see. I can say my last Roborock would delete the map randomly, and it'd be really inconvienant.

i'm playing around with just emptying the bag. it's not easy to do but it can be done.

You can but you shouldn’t, the air quality of your house will decrease if you reuse bags over and over again. Bags can last up to 2 months, so if you buy let’s say 8 packs of bags, they should last up to 16 months. Or even more depending on your house size. If you don’t want to use bags, you can turn the self emptying through app and empty the bin inside the robot manually. Or you can buy another robot, note that Q revo isnt sold without the base.

Slide the little door open on the dock. It’s happened to me twice and there was dog hair clogged behind the dock door

clear the clog. Happens if you are collecting a lot of dust and hair. Run more frequent smaller cleans.

relatively quiet. It's super quiet on hard floors and a bit louder on carpet and rugs. Quiet enough to easily hold a conversation when it's in the room.

it is quiet. IMO this guy is under selling how quiet it is. I put it on normal mode, and I thought it was broken it made so little noise lol. That said I keep it on max, and coming from the S5max, Im really blown away at how quiet it is. I just didn't think that was possible.

You can get an older model that comes bagged. I believe the Roborock Q5 is bag less but not sure

I'd say the S8 max is too expensive, and the S7 isn't as good as the Qrevo. The DeamTech L10S looks good, but its not as supported, especially in the US. Q Revo, I'd say is currently the king in the market. That said, the DreamTech might give it a run for its money if the docking station doesnt clog like the Q Revo does.
