So great to hear someone talking about that. It’s so annoying to me because they demand that you learn tricky things just by watching them, but we always have to mirror it. And I dont always know exactly what or how I should mirror. I constantly feel so frustrated because I notice that it takes a little more time for me than it takes to my others colleagues to learn the moves :( And surgery is a highly competitive area. :( I could say I almost feel disabled in some way. Anyway I love challenges, that’s why I do that. :) Ill work pretty hard to become a leader of a left handed surgeons team and be very bossy like you! haha :) I really love your videos !! You have a huge left handed future plastic surgeon fan :) greetings from Rio de Janeiro !!

I gave a thumbs up with my left hand. I was a medical assistant and constantly had to adjust for right handed doctors. I would have loved to work for a left handed doc.

Left handed people have difficulty generally because most things are made for right handers. We definitely have to learn workarounds. I had to learn to use my right hand to use things like scissors, I simply didn't have access to left handed tools. I'm glad about that though because over the years both my hands have been badly affected by EDS and I can share the workload of tasks between both hands.

I am left handed (MIS/Bariatic fellow) but, I tend to perform many procedures right handed.

it's a multi gene trait, probably two sites, so you're likely less strictly left hand dominant than others

I think most left handed people are by nature sometimes ambidextrous. We have greater use of our right hands thand the average righty does his or her left hand. Right handed is average. Left handed is above average. We just are better adapt at figuring things out. We have to do so quickly and without a lot of thought.
