Dont think to much 'oh could i be the right person', just do it & tell them why you think you could be. Take risks (this is also trainable, especially in sports: skiing, acrobatics ect) Also learn to handle and use emotions wisely. Learn to detach in certain situations or to use your emotions focused to help ppl (the best salesppl work with positive attitude towards ppl, nearly coaching them with the product). Jack Napier You are very mistaken. There are many things that are far from equal still. You would agree that in the 1900’s, women did not have nearly as many rights as men did. They only gained the right to vote in 1920. They were not given access to higher education, jobs, etc. You really believe things have flip-flopped in less than 100 years? Racism in our country is still alive despite slavery being abolished in 1865. Coming from the healthcare field, we do not care for women coming into the ER as well as men coming into the ER. We are taught to believe that women have “the hysteria,” and that their pain isn’t real. That is the real difference between men and women here.

Jack Napier Other countries? Like 3rd world countries they are far behind in terms of education, technology, etc? Let’s talk sense here: in no way would it feel right if YOU worked harder, did things more efficiently, and got PAID LESS than the KID right next to you. That’s exactly what happened to me, so I took my services elsewhere where I could be appreciated. This should not happen on the basis of sex. If my IQ is 115 (as an analogy), why should I be paid less than this guy whose IQ Is 70 and struggling with the same task? This is not equal opportunity and you know it

I'm a woman and I work in the finance field. Not for a stock exchange company, but still. In Canada, we don't really look at what gender you are, how old you are or at your background. We have a lot of women working in the finance field, a ton of male nurses, and many other great examples of how stereotypes don't need to affect anything. I never saw finance as a "male only" profession, I've wanted to work with money, investments and everything finance-related all my life. I hope everyone would pursue their dreams, regardless of stereotypes.

@lenayepez76564 жыл бұрын
I love how she says that it’s not entirely the bosses’ fault, and neither is minorities’ fault, it’s just something happening that we gotta take action into. Most of the things I hear repeatedly is about charts and how “there are not enough women in engineering” for example, but I studied in a university where you only get in by test scores, and there weren’t that many women in mechanical engineering, but there were a lot of women in biology, so it’s just that more women applied to biology than mechanical. My point is, we gotta stop blaming just because, and we gotta start really understanding why things are happening the way they are. And I’m not saying there aren’t injustices, but the issue is more complicated than that.
