I have professionally repaired and driven every generation of the MX-5. I have never not smiled while driving one. I currently own a 2023 MX-5 Gt. It reminds me so much of my 1968 MGB. Mazda has captured the spirt of a traditional British Roadster and refined it to perfection.
@federiconalos82024 ай бұрын
Bob, I keep longing for another 62 MGB, my second convertible car with a 65 Mustang, my very first car and convertible as well, that I wrote a check for a 2024 MX5 RF GT on the 7th of May. The only wish option that was missing is a separate dual exhaust tips (both sides). It's just not available. The purchase was all done through the phone. My first actual look was when it was ready for pick-up. What I like about the MX5 Miata RF are: the beautiful soul red color and the mechanical process of the rooftop opening operation. Concern: too technical. Intimidating for, "now I don't want to learn more stuff" phase in life. Beautiful car!

Daily driven the last 85K miles in an ND1, then ND2. You do need a 2nd vehicle available for when you need more. But it is surprising how little that really is. I found it great to commute, even on 95 in Boston traffic, until I retired. I have the RF, and drive all winter with snows. Trunk will hold a shopping cart up to the rim, but you do need the smaller size paper towels. Wife and I go on weekend trips, 1 official carry-on roller bag, 1 soft side duffel bag, 1 beach bag, 1 soft briefcase (backpack) fit in the trunk.

@davidhunternyc1Ай бұрын
That's really pretty. My only issue is I'm 6 feet tall. I'm very cramped in the passenger seat. The driver's seat isn't much better. Mazda must redesign the next iteration MX-5 to sit comfortably folks up to 6 feet 2 inches. Only 3.9% of the population is taller. The trick is to NOT make the car bigger, longer, nor heavier. Use existing space. Get rid of unnecessary plastics. Make seat backs thinner. Make the engine bay smaller. With CAD programs, every millimeter can be carved out to fit taller people. C'mon, Mazda, just do it!
