Celebrated 40 years together in Janauary. We also have a 22 year age gap. He is now retired and since covid I've been working from home, so together 24/7. I'd say it is about being best friends, being there for each other through the highs & lows and at times compromising for each other. Then there is the love and respect which has simply deepened over all that time. Can't believe I've been with Brian for over 2/3rds of my life. Best wishes to you guys from over the pond in the UK. It cant always be less than 50 on both parts, otherwise you have an unhealthy relationship in my opinion. Just how I see it. If one is better at one thing yes, helps pick the other up great. But, a lopsided relationship never works.
