Hi Ann! I just got a spot on the University of Eastern Finland (kuopio) to go on Erasmus next year. I will have a salary of about 600 euros/month thanks to the Erasmus scholarship. I've seen students housings nearby That costs around 250 - 300 euros a month. Do you think the remaining 300 euros will be enough to cover most of the other expenses excluding leisure? Than you so much!
@AnnInFinland4 күн бұрын
Hi! Congratulations on your admission! 😁 I believe 300€ a month for your essential needs is enough. Just don't always eat outside. cook your own food at home. We also have a lot of second hand shops and even roskalava if ever you need something for your house like utensils, tvs, chairs, sofas, tables etc. 🏠

Your rent should only be about 25% of your after tax income, otherwise the landlord may think that you cannot afford to pay your rent on time. Also look for weekly specials at the supermarket, you can make some good cost savings on your groceries - I would sometimes shop three times a week to save money.
@AnnInFinland Жыл бұрын
That's good to know! Thank you for that information and tips! 😁 it may also be, that you can afford the rent even after that 25% tax, but they would still see your bank loans and credits before they will choose you as their tenant ☺️

Hi, i want to go there as an international student and have a couple of questions: 1. Will the university ( in Kuopio) provide me with a room ( electricity ,water , data included). If yes , then do i have to pay for it or the scholarship/fees will cover it for me? 2. How do you pay or manage your expenses? Do you have a part time job or a full time and how much can i earn? 3. In the earlier times, when you moved to Finland, did your parents and you both managed your finances or just them? And you now manage your expenses now on your own? I'm nervous going there so, your help will mean a lot to me 😊

Hi! These are good questions to ask.. and I'll try to answer it. 1. Student apartments in Finland. Check it out at Study in Finland.fi. I believe you are responsible for paying the monthly rent which costs around 200-300€ a month. 2. Smart Budget. Don't eat out all the time. School lunch is 50% off for students. Some shops offers 10% or more off for students from the total price. For example, subways, transportations, salons, etc. You can actually work and study at the same time. But hours are limited according to the Law, which is 30hrs/week. Check it out at study in finland.fi 3.I have managed my finances since the beginning. I got some help with my siblings but I did not depend on them. I've worked for what I have now, and it was only all possible through God's help and goodness to me. ☺️

Is there any scope of physiotherapist?
@AnnInFinland Жыл бұрын
I'm sorry , but I can't really tell anything much for that field in my channel 😅 but I believe that in Finland, Physiotherapists are well-educated, professionals, and if you go to the government hospitals, it may be free of costs or half of the price, only if you are a resident in Finland. It is quite costly to go to a private physiotherapist or clinics in Finland ☺️

Hello kabayan! Sorry for the late reply, Welcome to Finland! 🇫🇮 I hope you were able to get your plan with Elisa or Telia. I am a user of DNA so I can't really answer for Elisa and Telia 🙏 If you are granted a work permit at ung residence card mo is valid for only one year, it's not possible. But if you are granted for more than 1 year of residence permit then you can get an item from Elisa, Telia, or DNA for installments
