Unless we start teaching people to examine themselves and stop directing them to look at others,we will have a selfish society like now. My father left us for 16 years now. It was no pressure but greed. It affected me and its still affecting me. I am always scared of being alone. I never got the expected love I deserved when growing up till now. It affected my mum badly at the early years of him leaving us. So mommy benched her anger and depression on me, which made my relationship with her poor. Growing up, especially as a first born and daughter, without a father badly have an effect. I finally understand the difference between true love and fake love (temporary sexual attraction). I never understood the true importance of friendship (philios) in a romantic relationship before. The order of importance is: 1. agape, 2. philios, and 3. eros. Thank you Pastor. I greatly appreciate your teaching us the truth to living a happy life in a happy marriage.
