I've met Jeff Ross before! He was at this small bar. He was in town for roast of the border wall. Word had gotten out and a small crowd showed up. This dude, I guess his handler, lined everyone up who wanted to take pics with him. Now that I think about it, I guess the bar assigned him as it was happening for his and crowd safety. My comedian friends were doing a small, unticketed show and they asked him if he would do a quick set (they couldnt pay him anything) and he was like "YEAH! That sounds fun! Let's do it!" One of the nicest guys out there.

I met Tommy Lasorda at a Chevron gas station in Fullerton (where he lived for years in Orange County) in the mid-90's. HE approached ME! I was filling up my security patrol unit, and I didn't even know he was there. I heard, "How ya doin' tonight, Sarge?" I was a Sergeant. I turned around and immediately recognized him standing next to his black Jaguar. He came over to me and wanted to know about my K9. I had a 90-pound German Shepherd named Ruger. I opened the back door to my unit, and Ruger had his tennis ball in his mouth, wagging his tail, and Tommy asked if he could play ball with him! I said sure, but don't throw the ball away from him (there was traffic around). I told him he could throw the ball at him because Ruger loved to try and stop the ball. Tommy did that for about 10-15 minutes! I had to STOP him! LOL! Tommy couldn't get the ball past Ruger! Tommy told me that Ruger was better than his short stops and asked me if he could recruit him for his team (yes, the Dodgers)! I playfully declined with a laugh. But what an experience that was! My dog played ball with Tommy Lasorda in the middle of the night at a gas station! We didn't have cell phone cameras back then. But that memory will forever be etched in my mind. RIP, Tommy...and Ruger. ❤❤

Some of my favorite celebrities to meet are Wayne Newton, Sally Field, Jamie Farr, John Waters, the late Rue McClanahan, Sandra Day O'Connor and The original Willy Wonka cast. The worst one was Lou Ferregno.

My list is pretty small, living in Ohio, but Huey Lewis was extremely nice, John Cougar (at the time he was still going by that) was a complete a$$hole and was cheating on his wife at the time, Chubby Checker was genuinely an absolute joy to meet. I’ve met others, but they were just brief autograph sessions and those are hard to get a feel. I worked for a record distributor at the time. Never met, but worked at an answering service that answered for some celebrities and Belkin productions, so Kasey Kasem was really a genuinely sweetheart of a man. We answered his private line. He would ask about my son and I really can’t speak highly enough about him. Talked to Robert Plant, Jon Bon Jovi, Pat Benatar and several others, but those were for Belkin and we had to keep it professional and not gush. All were perfectly nice though. None were rude.

Met Paul at Kiss Konvention Schaumburg ,Illinois 1995 . After band played their set there was a meet and greet and autograph signing. Went up to Paul's booth. He was alright. He acknowledged me when got his autograph which i appreciated. Wished i would of had more to say to him but i as a big fan was completely star struck and was at a loss for words.

In those meet and greets it’s a little hard for them to do much more than that. I give celebs a pass on those, because usually they have already done 50 of them and it’s got to be draining. I much prefer the chance meeting stories. Gives you a better idea of how they are.

He was an amazing and super talented musician, his lyrics are some of the greatest ever written, imo, he was a true poet. He really had a gift. I wish he was still with us. It's exciting to read thru these comments and hear about all the folks who are now listening to him for the first time. I hate to be the person who says something cliche, but Elliott's music has saved my life more than once back when I was in a very low place, and for that I'll always be grateful.

I met Tommy Lasorda in a Marie Callendars restaurant in 1981 right after they won the World Series. He was soooo nice! Had me sit down and introduced me to his friend. He had the waitress bring a paper placemat so he could autograph it for me and everything. He had the whole restaurant in stitches and everybody loved him. I wonder what happened later that made him change?

You hit it out of the ballpark with this episode Jordan! You've shared with your viewers you are trying to figure out which direction to go with your vlogs ( career ) This episode might just be the answer! ... Your GIFT is storytelling! - combine that with your heart of a Lion. Make a documentary! Not about the place or the thing but about the PERSON - Like Elliott Page or Sparkle Horse or Gram Parsons. Before hearing about these people from you - I had never known about them and now I want to know more. And if you make enough money on a documentary about Elliott Page - in his honor create a nonprofit for abused children. **Another GREAT Vlog by Daze with Jordan the Lion 🦁

Your Elliott story is so cool, thank you so much for sharing it! I wish Elliott coulda known how awesome he was, his music is top tier and he totally deserved every penny he made (plus some). But that's part of why I love Elliott so much, he was a humble dude, maybe too humble for fame. I know he was feeling conflicted about his fame and how he fit into it all, I know he always felt like his fellow musician friends were just as deserving as the same level of fame that he had attained, and that bothered him. I realize when people are stuck in dark places that it's hard to convince them to see the light, but I really wish Elliott coulda believed in everyone who ever told him that he was worthy. The music scene needed (and still needs) more humble folks like Elliott. It sounds like he had a lotta great ideas for how to use his talents for charitable causes. If he was able to get himself into a healthy mental space I fully believe he'd be doing amazing things if he was still with us. I don't wanna delve into the drama of his death, but I do wanna say that I wish his death was examined much more closely.

Yeah .. after taking a flight from Darwin in Australia's Northern Territory I was directed into a departure lounge at Sydney airport to await a connection to Brisbane, one other bloke was there a fellow about my age, size and shape, he was looking straight at me and in the spirit of traveller's bonhomie I said "hiya mate" .. he pulled a face. I mouthed a suitable repy and left it at that, he took a connecting flight to Coolangatta, whereas on the evening news that night came a story George Harrison had flown into that place, on his way to Murwillumbah in Northern NSW to attend a Hare Krishna festival, they showed footage and I recognized him as the dude who had been rude at Sydney airport. If it is any consolation to anyone celebs are said to be equally offensive toward each other .. in Sydney another time there was a dude carrying a guitar case prancing up the street in his elevator shoes, just from the way he looked I knew he was a top line player. He was coming up the other side of the street, when the lights changed I crossed over and was virtually face to face with Albert Lee who was Eric C's rhythm man for a substantial time, he scowled at me .. both incidents put me off of celebrities for good.
