IKR, they apparently used to have stuff packs go on sale completely free and discounted expansions. They haven't had any of those in years.

I also love the Grandpas Grove lot from the store for gardening! it gives you a tractor that lets you water and harvest crops near the track all at once! and can also give cute hayrides :)

Riding a tractor irl is one of the best things i have experienced living in a countryside, i was riding on a 8ft tall hay pile. It is quite windy and cold on a ride like that tho. And the only thing i had to hold myself onto was some wooden piece, its purpose is to squize the hay so it wont fall of.

Hidden Springs is a must world for me I love how green and beautiful. Some houses are busted though. Fifth Avenue clothing set is great if you constantly play sims in business field they are nice work outfits. (Not sure if you can change the work outfits to fifth Avenue set)

@@toshj177 go into CAS, left click the options menu and you'll get the nraas mc menu that lets u remove filters for careers, also i think u need another module for mastercontroller i think it's the intergation one to do this

Riverview is my Sims 3 home. I just love it so much! I know all the townies, I like the architecture and the change of seasons... Like you know how sometimes the game feels really weird in winter because there's all this deep snow and palm trees?? Not a problem in Riverview. There's a nice balance of country to town center and I know where everything spawns. Plus there's room for expansion. As someone who lives on the east coast, one of my problems with towns with coast line is EA always makes the coast face west, which is a problem when they've got an open world and a coastline and are trying to mimic an east coast location like New England or NYC.

That set that has more plants, because I have a serious thing for gardening. On worlds, Lunar Lakes because most of the rabbit holes are really handy for adding extra rabbit holes to Oasis Landing without going into the CC rabbit hole mods. The Lunar Lakes rabbit holes can fit on 12x12 and 15x15 lots (I also have a lot size maker mod to make custom size lots). I agree the greenhouse lot is good for ground-level greenhouses, but my favourite items for greenhouses are the ITF garden rugs, which can be used in conjunction with the greenhouse windows and roofing parts as it means the ground can be floored and the rugs can laid to grow plants on.

Personally, the world I like the most for aesthetic reasons is Aurora Skies. I have a fondness for winter aesthetics and darker coloured environments (a side effect of an IRL fondness for night-time), but Midnight Hollow is a bit too dark. Aurora Skies is very Icelandic in look, so it is dark, with black sand, and gives a wintery vibe even in summer.

Despite the weirdness of the Plants vs Zombies sunflower in The Sims 3... The Sun thing they produce is the absolute most powerful fertilizer there is, and if you add it to the composter thing that also comes on the set... Well, let's just say you'll have A VERY PRODUCTIVE garden...

Thanks so much for this video! I got Lucky Palms a year or two ago, and it's great! However, I'm just kicking myself for accidentally buying standard rather than gold ... oof! I wish there was some sort of upgrade button. Now I need to get the casino separate, and any other Gold exclusives are lost to me if any. I did snag Sunlit Tides gold today, though! However, I accidentally got Serenity Retreat separate so spent 1500 SimPoints more than I meant to ... grrrr ... I've not even played TS3 in ages, but I've just been really wanting to play it lately!

The multi-tab for sure - but it can get cheaty as well (although I'm no longer sure which skills are on it in the base game vs NRAAS). There's a few venues I really love - I think those are some of the best value. The bakery and the Manor where you can play guitar with Death almost always make it into my worlds. For worlds I love Midnight Hollow and Riverview (and this one's FREE). And I love the kitchen appliances - from the fryer to the teppanyaki grill. I've picked up loads of little things along the way. That's the real reason I never touched Sims 4: too much invested in the Sims 3.

As a person who LOVED sims 3 as well, I’ve tried to get into sims 4 but it’s so boring! The only good thing about the game imo is the variety of food recipes and cuter clothing (without cc installed). You literally have to add mods to make your game interesting.

Heh. The Stones Throw Greenhouse was the first of two lots (the other being the Skylight Studio for the Performing Arts) I got with the 4900 freebie points I found I had when I started playing again and getting expansions. I always put it in my worlds (currently Moonlight Falls), but I have never actually used the damned thing in actual play (nor its two premium items, the PvZ Sunflower & SwiftGro Gardening Station). :P Oh, and the roof pieces are just for show. My indoor plants grow perfectly fine without them (though maybe that's a side effect of the Into the Future planter rugs?). edit: Currently trying to avoid buying Monte Vista (with Hidden Springs, of course, on Origin) and some SimPoints for the Al Fresco Market (on sale for the next hour or so for ~800, using the remaining 200 points I'd have to buy on the MultiTab :), which would go perfectly with Monte Vista (which I'd never actually use - too stuck on Moonlight Falls for being a lot more open to plopping down random, useful lots :P)..

I like your choices, but I guess I'm a little confused when you say the Stone's Throw Greenhouse set is the only way to have indoor plants grow. That's just not true. There are the pots, there is the grass "rugs" from Into the Future, and you can make green houses with regular windows in the game and the plants grow just fine. Now if you are talking about the LOOK of a real greenhouse, yeah, I agree, but its just not true of the functionality.

@@gothboithick you can use any windows in Sims 3, only Sims 2 for specific windows for greenhouse. To be planted in the ground you have to use move object for all plants to be in an enclosed room unless using the ITF rugs. The sprinkler/compost/indentifying table thing is awesome and comes with that set but the windows are just windows

I downloaded the multi tab for free but I couldn’t use the “listen to tab cast” option, they would put the ear piece in but then it wouldn’t do anything. So I brought the multi tab from the store and it still doesn’t work, the listen to tab cast option isn’t even there. Do you know if there is a fix for this other than uninstall and reinstall cause that didn’t work for me :( loveee your videos btw xx

... I've got everything on thesims3 page and I didnt pay for anything but the actual game. Just turn off the music in the browser you use and then open multiple windows (5+) with those 'watch and get 5 points' (or whatever) videos... As you don't have to be on the page as it plays you can just let it play in the background and then do it over and over (as go through the sites in the order you opened it or whatever) again until you get enough points to buy everything..
