I have one 7.3 year 2000 with 350K miles the reason i keep it is reliability and I can do the maintenance by myself like old days.
@Mr.Owl26311 ай бұрын
I used to daily drive a lifted 7.3 on 35s with a 4 inch lift. I’m from SA too, but it got stolen, now I have a 2012 5.3 Silverado, it sits on 32s with a 3 inch level kit. I want another 7.3 it has better mpg than my Silverado gets and it had bigger tires, I had a turbo and a tune for that 7.3 too so it was also a good bit quicker and could pull a hell of a lot better. I miss that thing. I want to go back to having a diesel you just can’t compare when it comes to towing.

It cost me $220 to fill my one in Australia and cost $7,000 for my wheels and tire . My one is the only crew cab 6 speed stick and I love it. Every mod on engine KC 300x ebpv delete up pipes bigger injectors and has never let me down. I recommend the .84 turbo housing for tht manual.

Look up redhead steering box for your slop issue, I have 1 in my 2000 superduty and Im very pleased
@mcdougo28202 жыл бұрын
If you wanted a lift on the front end I got 2 2 inch by I want to say 6 inch solid steel blocks and I shoved it between the leafspring and the axle to give it the front and left because I put heavier springs in the rear. and with the blocks you’re going to have to drill a hole and thread it put a bolt in it with some Loctite to keep it in there because there are little studs either on the leafspring of the axle that have to lock together so that you don’t need the extra leaf spring! And as far as the steering and the starter get a redhead steering gear box and a high output starter. It really improves the ride quality.

Nice ride and info on the handeling and maintenance. I agree it's important to keep up with the basic service that you do yourself like I do too. Just got a battery and did an oil change. Had to get it done before the cold winter got here. Your truck looks awesome. The Dodge powerwagon shortbed we had with the 360 engine had alot of play in the steering when driving it too. Great video bro!

Definitely shouldn’t have to replace the battery’s every two years. May have other issues causing that. And I would definitely change oil filters every time you change the oil. Filters are only $15 bucks and will definitely help in the long run.

I can't believe you're bitching about the steering on a 400,000 plus mileage vehicle. Drive any other vehicle that has that many miles on it and you're going to find the same thing. As for being expensive to fill up - that is going to be expensive no matter what you diesel pickup you drive. As for parking and maneuverability, what are you comparing it to - a Honda Civic? Any big pickup is going to be like that. Your batteries should be lasting longer than 2 years - if anyone is changing them that often, they're either have a charging issue, doing something stupid like leaving the key on, or buying really cheap batteries. you complain that the ride is too rough, but then admit that you added a leaf to the front. That's your fault not the fault of the 7.3. If you're going to critique a 7.3 then critique the engine - if you're going to critique the whole truck then say so in the title. Very disappointed in the content of this video.
@Stunnedfunn2 жыл бұрын
You're really taking this video to seriously. Comes off very hurt and weak. I'm disappointed in your comment. When people talk about a 5.9 cummins the rest of the truck usually ends up in the conversation to.
