A quick question on the supplements. Do you take the calcium at the same time as the iron supplements? I’ve always seen the recommendation to take those two separately because they can inhibit absorption of each other. The same reason it’s not recommended to take iron with dairy or calcium enriched orange juice.

The crazier thing is when I see people say "Never buy from sellers who sell Disney stuff. It's proof that they are thieves" and I'm like.... you expect me to show sympathy... DISNEY.... who is the reason our copy right laws don't work the same in the states anymore.... You want me to show sympathy... The "new guidelines" aren't even that effective in preventing this. That "I promise NOT to pay friends to vote for me, cross my heart" check box has no way of verifying. So an important note about the whole "licensing Disney IP" thing, the VAST majority of stuff you'll find on, say, etsy, is unlicensed. Disney doesn't always file claims against everyone, but I know a lot of people who have lost their etsy stores due to copyright claims. That's also why a lot of stuff will be listed with alias names, ie Mermaid Princess instead of Ariel The Little Mermaid, and Archery Princess instead of Brave/Merida. All that to say, I'd hedge a guess that her Stitch *isn't* licensed, which is the real reason she deleted the comment. Purchasing a Disney IP license is way more expensive than most individuals can afford, and they're INCREDIBLY specific about what and how you can use it. But given that Disney has their own amigurumi kit, I highly doubt they would give out licenses to individual artists to sell a similar pattern - that's money Disney would rather make on their own product kit. I don't necessarily have any evidence for this, but I am a crafter who worked for the company for a year (obligatory "I do not speak for or represent the company" here), specifically in their in-park merchandise, which somewhat deals with licensing and IP for personalized items.

I crochet, and make amigurumi. I've followed these people for a long time silently, and admired the empires that they have made in their own rights. However, I have held back on doing social media stuff because of how toxic I've seen Kayte and others be. I've seen others make adorable crochet work, but get attacked for it if takes attention away from people like her. I just want to make cute things, I want to see other peoples cute stuff and not care for the immature highschool shit. Big ego moments, from immature bratty girls like Kayte.

I made exactly one (1) amigurumi and the people I learned from (on KZbin) seemed fine. Maybe I just don't know about their drama. If so, I want to keep that ignorance. The amigurumi I made (a cat) was very simple and yet I still felt it got a little to finicky and hard on my fingers for my tastes. So it's the first and the last one I will make.

@@ElectricRose9001the personal use part doesn't count if you post it for others, fyi, free or not. IP laws are insane and require the owners of the trademarks to issue take-downs in order to keep their trademarks (hence the Ravelympics drama). If it's changed enough you might be okay.

Oh these things happen all the time, every day. You can choose to participate or ignore it. The choice is yours to make. If you’re never taught how can you expect to learn? If you’ve never sat back and thought about how your words and actions affect others then you won’t hold yourself accountable for what you’ve done. Easier said than done I know. Def easy to fall into it. Just gotta keep your eyes and ears open to those around you. And what I meant about social media, is that it has become easier than ever to participate in. Back in the day it stayed within your “area”, now it’s everywhere for everyone to see and know about around the world. I feel for these ladies, livelihoods and business suffered because of what was done and said. It’s harder to recover when everyone knows what happened. 😔
