I'm eventually gonna get my hands on this Mustang, and from what I've driven of it, yeah this. I once drove my dad's SUV followed immediately by this and kept overshooting the brakes, and I just thought my muscle memory got broken by driving something different. Turns out the brakes were overworn by 3mm on one axle and 1mm on the other. Also it needed new suspension parts as usual. When we picked that up from the shop, my mom's car was fucking dying. Radio was gone, battery was going, blinkers just decided to fuck off. The Mustang is old enough that it's totally blind to every mechanical issue and always drives and handles beautifully no matter how much attention it needs. And I fucking love it.

Really good chance the head gasket fire ring was already somewhat stuffed but it was so encrusted in carbon that it held compression. The upper engine cleaner would have removed the carbon deposit and caused failure of one fire ring. You can see that it's then pushed into the next cylinder. If you guys are cowboy gasket slapping it, highly recommend doing a little resurfacing by hand. The fire ring failure and old head gasket residue doesn't help sealing. I've done cars in the past with a whetstone+wd40 that ran happily for years after!

But then we wouldn't get to see them "fixing" the block with a diy honing kit and a cordless drill. Unless they could somehow collaborate with CEE up in Queensland just to see his giant vertical honing machine going to town on this tiny car block.
