Very excited for you to show the training that goes into the dogs. I love the natural drive of the animals in the sport definitely a cool way to do it.

Good looking pack man. I use those purple cattle tags too for ticks, you might wanna talk to a Vet...but I would take that tag off of that pregnant gyp now and definitely while she is nursing. As you know its an insecticide that is absorbed thru the skin, I dont know how it will effect a littler. You need to check out a Stephens cur, they have a good cold nose, small and open on the track. They use them in Kentucky alot on coon and out west on Mt. Lion. I have a couple on my channel if you wanna see one. Be safe this year. I enjoy your videos .👍

Great looking hounds buddy. Would enjoy seeing a video of how your putting those purple Y Tex tags onto your collars. Looks like a slick set up. Gotta keep them ticks at bay.
@KirkPrice2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! It’s pretty easy to do. I just wrap them around the collar and then run a zip tie through the hole of the tag and around the collar as well. Pull it tight as you can and cut the excess off with scissors.

Good job understanding where your dogs line up i have a 1 year old waynes plott male. Im breaking him for bear hunting he is gritty with raccoons my problem is he face barks and barks alot 2 bad traits in my opinion makes for potentially bad races so he might be a pack dog and he may not make the cut for what I would like but he is still young and ill try my best to make the most of making him a good hunting hound if not he is still a good lovable dog

Well Kirk if you have any leftover pups out of that litter I would 150% take one! I have been amazed by your bliss dog ever since I first started watching your videos! She is a once in a lifetime hound! Also is she kemp bred also? I don’t think you said how she was bred in the video, But I do think you did mentioned her breeding in another video I just couldn’t remember. Keep up the good work I sure do love the videos especially the hound hunting ones. Adios Cameron Adams

You said something so smart..... you have him figured out. knowing your dog is very important. when people get a see ing eye dog they are not training the dog they are training the handler. I hunted with a beagle guy and the dog would chase pheasants. he knew when the dog was on a bird.

Why do you keep the females inside and the males outside? Is that to keep them from mating or..
@KirkPrice2 жыл бұрын
It does help with that but I only have 2 females and they’re easy to keep inside. The males on the other hand can be difficult. They want to pee on everything and are just more hard headed in general.
@jsulliv199392 жыл бұрын
@@KirkPrice That's is so funny. I have 5 females and 4 males, all the males but 1 (who is only 1 year old is fixed). The females need to be separated at all times due to orneriness. It gets worse when one is in heat. The males get along much better. I have to have several kennels with runs keep the dogs that do get along together to bond and play. I keep the 4 easiest inside.
