Hi Duke, I love, enjoy and learn from your videos. Despite the cheats, poor physics, uneven matchmaking, plus two-minus two; I want to love this game. I actually play this a lot but it can be so frustrating. This game has so much more potential. I love think wot should listen to their customers and make it a better game.

They keep trying to get me to buy camo. I have 26 unused ones still as I only apply them to tanks I know I will be keeping. As for commanders, I have way more given to me than I need. I collect as many as they give me then sell them when I need a cash boost. Premium tank XP is a con in my view (as is XP on tech tree tanks once fully upgraded) as you need gold to convert it to free XP. and even at the exchange rate of 25 to 1 its expensive. I have six tanks with over 2 million stored XP that needs converting. Overall I have about 35 mil in stored XP. that would help me tremendously but would probably bankrupt me to convert it.

It was really nice to read your comment. I totally "feel" your reason & I thought about quitting, myself. However, I have some guys that are so much FUN to play with, that they make it worth hanging in there. The phrase that pays = "I like THEM more than I HATE WG"! I hope this tidbit helps you. Came back from the cigar lounge this evening and said “self, let’s see how tier 8 is tonight”. Bottom tier for 4 out of 5. Tried 7 same. Played a few of my 9s, was okay at least they were decent games. Looked at my 10s I grinded out a long time ago and sighed. It was like playing in the wacky races, I was expecting Penelope Pitstop to yell help. The teams were horrible, RNG horrible. I would post on a map where a heavy should go and 2-3 teammates would make the right play with me then see 8 others yolo and die in 2 minutes. It was so bad I just went to co-op for a couple games to end the evening on a good note. Stopped giving these guys moola a while ago and just milking my remaining gold for the season pass to get it right back. They’ve ruined this game and after 8 years of playing it is sad.

Sounds like you got...REAMED by the cheaters at WG. While it adds credibility to my criticisms of WG, I am sorry that you had that experience. Thank you for sharing their mistreatment with us all. I really appreciate it.

3D commanders & garage decorations are a total waste of money IMO. This game's enough of a money pit without pointless ephemera, not that I actually spend any money on the game these days. I've got hundreds of tanks in my garage, I certainly don't need more. I'm sure I've got premiums obtained in earn ops that I've never even played.

Hi Duke...I have been keeping an eye on the excellent vids. I seem to recall I counted all the tier 8 tanks..premiums I think and there were.....199 of 'em..Yup 199. Why? I dunno. Truth is all these tanks are crap one way or another. Now I have been playing a few games at me mates, he's been tormented by this game for 6 years now. So we had some games on wednesday and thursday evening...God help me. But ya have to keep your mates happy. So first 2 or 3 games were complete crapfests .. but then it changed and we had 2 nights of very evenly matched games with a few not so evenly matched slaughterfests. And we had a very enjoyable time .. until last night after some car races and...every single game was impossible. In fact one game lasted from start to finish a grand total of...2 minutes 28 seconds...Yes you are reading this correctly .. 2m 28 secs. Our "team" managed to kill 2 enemy tanks and they killed .. 3. So how did this game end so quickly? Because half the team went straight to the base and capped it. As we know most of the time the teams are very unevenly matched and it is a slaughter of epic proportions. Last night no matter what either of us did we lost every game very badly. Tanks dead in minutes a lot of the time .. well his lasted longer coz he's a lot better player. But he said this game is getting worse and worse all the time, to the point he's considering dumping it. And he is a pretty decent player. So why is it this game can at times give you teams that are more evenly matched and like those two nights we had some great games, proper tank battles and most of them either side could have won. This is how it should be. Then people would enjoy the game. Wins and losses pretty evenly shared, I guess we might have won a few more or lost a few more but no biggie. Why the hell do WG seem to feel the need to make this game impossible most of the time? Well, my thinking is that they made the game about the wrong thing. EVERYONE talks about damage all the time, all everyone thinks about is doing damage because damage is how you get MVPs and good results whether or not you kill any enemy tanks. But this is supposed to be a tank battling game so it should be about winning the damn games. But because it isn't so many players simply do not give a damn whether they win or lose so long as they do the most damage..and when they can then they kill more tanks than anyone else...but then the rest of the team lose the game or win only because there's one or two players who can do so much more damage AND kill tanks. So to my mind most of the time the matchmaking puts together teams with 1 or 2 or maybe 3 good or decent players but then the rest are no where near as good so the better players get all the glory. There have been many times I've been one of the better players but the enemy team are even worse...so where's the fun in that? The times I've been bunged in teams with players who are simply not that good at the game but the enemy team have players who are way better so we get hammered. But then at some point WE get the better teams and we hammer the enemy teams..where's the fun in that? This game is so unfair to the average players or those who haven't been playing very long and struggle to get anywhere. Now I ain't the best player or the worse but I could get games where I'd get MVPs, 2nd or 3rd and mostly top 7 results but then all of a sudden I can't play to save me life. So am I gonna come back to this game? Well, I have thought about it simply because I like battling tanks...when they let you. But IF I do it's gonna be on my terms NOT wargaming's. Meaning I will play the game instead of being played by the game. Good vids though as usual..

Brilliant stuff! 1) Know your "enemy" & WG hates your guts. Why else would they employ such a wide range of tactics (bad match making, bad guns, flipping tanks, etc.) against you? 2) WoT is SUPER unfair, as you said stated so beautifully. 3) I say "once you see it, you can NEVER unsee it!" I am honored at the comment & want to THANK YOU for such an excellent effort. It was an honor to read & AGREE with everything you said. Bravo, sir!

Spot on. I played a game yesterday where the opposing team had four players with three marks on their barrels and three of them were in a platoon. I was a T6 in a T8 game. Our team had no marked players at all. The game was over in just under five minutes and they only lost one tank.

@@dukesworldoftanks Thank you Duke for the great reply. As i said I have been keeping an eye on the channel. Kinda missed commenting to be honest. So am I gonna make yet another comeback? Well....Yes I have decided to do just that. Maybe playing with Steve has something to do with it I don't know really. I just like battling bloody tanks. When as I say the game lets you. As said I ain't the worse player but I ain't the best either. Like the majority of players I'd say, well those who stuck with it for a while. Yes I make stupid mistakes mostly due to the frustration. But again we had two evenings of very enjoyable battles, in one I was last tank standing against the enemy last tank, we both had TDs. Just over 5 minutes left on the clock..I like games that last a while.....NOT 2 mins and 28 ruddy seconds for Christ's sake. So I decided to sit right where I was, I had rocks covering both sides so he could only approach from two directions. But he would not know if I had relocated and set up an ambush, then again neither did I. So I waited for him to make his move, but he did the same. Neither of us made the mistake so we waited until the clock ran out. I guess he was thinking same as me, if neither of us dies who wins the game? Well, it was his team won but it could have been mime. He was a good player, 7 kills. I had 5 kills, but 4 of mine came later in the game when I took out 4 of his team one after the other. Then he came down from his hill to find me. Then we ended up with a Mexican standoff. This was a well balanced game team wise, some of his tanks presented themselves to my gun because they wanted to kill the last few of my team. So 4 of them died. Given games like this I can do quite well a lot of the time..I got MVP in my losing team but they didn't lose easily. He had MVP in his team. Like I say if WG can give us games like this then why do they have to ruin it with lousy matchmaking? Shorter games as you say simply means a few players can spend more of their cash spamming gold rounds. But if you look at the difference between silver and gold premium rounds the specs are the same. Penetration, damage and velocity...? I don't get the gold spamming.. And yes WG have become a big company and yes they need to keep their revenues coming in and increasing as all big companies do. But there are other ways. WG do sell a little merchandise but not much. So why not sell more merchandise like mugs, T shirts, rucksacks, etc? They do sell a few model tanks but why not sell more of those? I might buy some models of my favourite tanks, or a T shirt, baseball cap..mug.. One or more of those print on demand companies would give their eye teeth for such a contract. WGs problem is the game and everything they sell for silver or gold are all digital products. They need more physical products. Would I buy a poster with my fav TD on it? Yeah why not. So for me now WHEN the game is playable I'm in. When it is not I'm out. No point playing when it's a crapfest is there. Not for me anyway. See y'all later then.

@@Healthhazard43 This is exactly what I mean. WOT chance did you have with a T6 tank in a T8 game? With four players against you with barrel marks? You would have to have the right tank and be a hell of a player to get much out of that. Pitting any tanks against tanks 2 tiers above is ridiculous. Even one tier above is bad enough. Why do WG put tanks in Tiers? Because they existed in a certain time during either WWII or the Cold war...plus all the one's they invent. So to my mind you pick say a tier 6 you should play against T6 tanks. ALL the tanks should be in the same tier. In C/W do we fight against era 2 tanks in our era 1 tanks, or era 3s in our era 2 tanks? C/W you get smoke...not in WWII you don't. C/W you get hull patch repair kits which I use on some tanks and they have saved me more than a few times. None of those in WWII either. WWII we get arty AND rockets. C/W we get tweasels and the other missile tanks. I think C/W players spend more on tanks and premium ammo and consumables. And war chests etc. Also there aren't many premium tanks in C/W as there are in WWII. Not that many tier 9 and 10s either. But then how many premium tanks can you buy in either mode? How many are blacked out and you can't buy them? So how do you get these tanks?

@@ianrichardson3968 When it comes to contracts I play for the free premium days like Duke and a lot of others do . I have 9 or so Merc tanks but that's mainly because I have the time to complete the season in 1-2 weeks and then concentrate on getting more free days and continue on if I get bored. I bought a years premium in Feb 2023 and still have 287 days left thanks to merc missions. when I get down to about 250 days I will do a bunch more to get it back to 300 or so. Its usually easy to do one per day so you gain three 3 days every day, One day I managed to get 9 days but that all depends on the level of tank available. Generally merc tanks aren't worth the effort, an example being the T4 Roundabout, it has the same gun as the Russian T4 SU 85B but with half the fire rate, with much worse accuracy and traverse speed. The Turtle on the other hand (for me anyway) is great fun to play as long as you are careful when picking your shots as the reload time gives you time to make a fresh coffee! Aiming for a team win is a mixed bag. As duke says, often you get saddled with a crap team. which is mainly true especially for the other 14 players. There is no option for team talk and tactics before the match starts at which point everyone rushes for the "best spots" which again are different for each playe with too many variables to go into, ie what map, what tank, which starting point, what tanks the other side are fielding, tier disparity, what tanks your side is fielding and on and on..................... Realistically you can't play as a team so don't try. Like you said, have a goal in mind and try to achieve it, if it works and you are still alive then yay life is good so go and help someone else to survive or snag some kills as it all adds to your stats at games end. When I tried to play as a team I was usually in the bottom five, when I switched to this tactic I immediately jumped to the top seven and more often than not am MVP or in the top three! not every game obviously as I still have games where I get hammered without even firing a shot or bouncing shells and being obliterated by the return fire. I am currently on level 213 and have played 9 days and am now just concentrating on the daily mission and mopping up any outstanding weekly missions which today will be trying to get 500 assist 16 times. So its out to play with the E25 and the Kanjpz 105 as they have the best camo factors out of all the 133 tanks I have left. I hope this long winded sleep inducing reply helps. P.S. Just for reference, in my T8 game with my T6 tank it was me that got the only kill on our side and I took out a T8. it is possible and I was in my Japanese type 95 JI-RO with the stock gun! (it helped that the other tank was a light one with a worse player than me driving it).
