What I like about sports; Someone spends every possible moment honing their craft; practicing hard; learning as much as they can only to step into an arena with someone else who’s also done all of those exact same things. And we get to watch the age old unstoppable force/immovable object question play out before our eyes. It’s the ultimate drama IMO. What I like in sports media is measured discussions of how they’re doing what they’re doing/ why they’re doing it/and even what could potentially work better. seems like most sports media (at least on the major networks on television) is just Talking Heads yelling at each other in between commercials. No one is really smart enough to actually say anything truly important. Been a fan of Mace’s work for a long time, but just found this channel and turned on notifications. Always glad to find people who are actually having real conversations and not yelling over each other about pointless GOAT debates. Lol rant over. Sorry about the long comment. Nick Kendall, the Iowa Hawkeye fan over at Mile High Huddle, says Riley Moss could actually be moved to Safety pretty seamlessly. I think that's an excellent idea. He says all those Iowa CB's can do that, the way they're used in that defense. I'm not sold on our Safety corps. It could use an injection of talent.

Gotta partially thank Stokely for that. One of his only TD catches that year was in the playoffs against the Saints "Stokequake,"took a team that was talented enough to repeat and ended that run.

As a Notre Dame fan, I can't describe how excited I am about having the Baby Bus. And with his 40, I don't give two shakes a rats rear end about his top speed. His brand of running is about vision and great contact balance. Plus, his 10 yard split is fantastic. HERE COMES THE BABY BUS, GOING FOR A RIDE!

Excellent as always, my Broncos super-nerd friends. Mase, I'm diggin that Puma hoodie/jacket/whatever it is - it's sharp. Some thoughts: 1. Mike Anderson was probably a full grown man at age 12. A FB/Marine (oorah) wins ROY? Get outta here! Love that guy and I miss that era. That was back when Shanny could pull a 1,000 yard back out of a garbage can, but Mike Anderson was legit and came from no such can. 2. Mase is logically and technically right about Rod Smith, but IDC, let me dream. Rod Smith should absolutely be in the Hall one day, down the line. Rod is my favorite Bronco and Sean Payton should pay him to be a motivational inspirer (hey, it's way better than instructional designer). 3. I absolutely love Brandon Johnson AND Jalen Virgil. I'm telling you guys, coach Payton had his eye on Virgil. He was making some explosive plays in the preseason, and you could tell he had a little trick play niche going in this offense (possibly). 4. I called both Bo and Troy a month ago. That never ever happens to me. They never draft who I want, so it almost has to be a good omen of things to come. I think Bo Nix is the real deal, and when we look back on this draft, he might even be the 2nd best QB out of the whole darn thing.

I'm torn on Perine, because we don't go on that win streak without him turning dumpoffs into first downs. That's the beauty of him, but I think you guys are right. He very well could be the odd man out.

Something we absolutely NEED to see, though? We have to see the rookies from last year step it up and progress. Riley Moss, Drew Sanders, JK Skinner, Marvin Mims Jr., have to, have to, have to step it up. Mims was wonderful as a RET, but we have to get him involved on offense. I want to see other guys like Uwazurike step up too. We just need it and have to have it.

Actually Mase, the HOF has gone with story before...No way Joe Namath gets in the HOF on his Resume. It was on beating the NFL as an underdog AFL team and a guarantee on the win. If I asked you if a QB with a 50% completion rate, 27,000 yards. 173 TDs to 220 INT's should be in the HOF you would laugh in my face. So hope isn't over for Rod Smith. Although they sure aren't very Pro-Bronco at the HOF.

It's scary that they were possibly THAT wrong about Sanders and Moss. We need to see HUGE leaps from those cats this year. I get it, it was the first draft from a new regime, but they should've known better. The kid showed next to nothing. There better not be many guys from this draft the same way. We better see instant contributions from these guys.
