Real RocknRoll fire here! Ren plays bass quite a bit, with the Big Push. Very good at it, too! See Wade in the Water!

They all play base, and Ren just shreds. Ren was asked in an interview what instrument he wasn't very good at he saiid he wasn't very good at the drums. This week Ren is in New York, he just put out an insta of him jamming with a group of drummers busking on the Subway. I think Ren is just modest.

Hi Jeff nice to see you hope you are doing well .. and nice seeing you do another Ren think you would love Ren's new songs Back In 74 , Fred Again Mesh up , & Mackay He is working on new album and this album will be more of his singing than his rap he says ... and Yes Gorran Kendall and Romain Axisia can sing to they are fantastic too ,,, and they also have solo stuff Romain experiments with music like Ren does and he has instrumental with his guitar to and Gorran style is like the 70s type style like Cat Stevens, James Taylor, Bob Dylan hope you check their music out sometime too

Ren doesn't really do rap exclusivly but rather infuses it with other genres. His new album is mostly rap because he challenged himself to see if he could release a rap album. It was the #1 album in the UK and beat out many popular musicians so that was monumental. I believe his next album will be guitar based because he loves playing the guitar. He's all over the place so don't pigeonhole him into one genre. Check out his "Freckled Angel" album. It has rap on it it but also rock, punk, raggea, folk and many other genres and he smashes them all together. He is one of a kind and this is coming from a musician of over 20 years.

Glad to see you back with Ren again. The Big Push separated at the end of 2022 but are still on good terms. Ren is finishing up his next album which is primarily song according to him "going back to his roots".

Thanks for your reaction to this great mash-up!! Actually, all (but the drummer) now have their own channels and are doing their ‘solo’ thing. Gorran Kendall (on acoustic) and Romain Axisa (lead) are amazing artists. Many Ren and Big Push fans are hoping that after Ren completes his medical treatments in Canada, they will regroup for some more great music!!

I actually never heard this big push song before. I'll definitely have to delve deeper into their catalog. I do have a request and I would gladly compensate you for your time to listen to Ren's back on 74/ Message in a Bottle retake that he released recently. It was very surprising to Experience Ren in such a different light then you would typically see nowadays with most of his releases. I think you would really enjoy it

Most of Ren's solo works involve singing and playing (most often guitar but he plays about a dozen instruments) more than rap. He also does EVERY genre. A lot of his recent tracks were more rap/hip-hop orientated because he was challenging himself to see if he could make a rap/hip-hop album. I think he won that challenge! lol. :) You should check out more of his solo work. He really does write and perform in every style and genre. For me personally, his singing songs/performances are his best work, generally speaking and his instrumentals are always sublime! :)

Ge Wee toe - incidentally - is the name of the hit man you hire to remove an irritating adjunct that is interfering in your life as a Mafia Don! Ge toe - on the other hand - is a gentleman, a gentle man of mystery who, because he possesses the most valuable ability a man can possess - the ability to perceive ability in others. He inspires thoughts and ideas within you that you didn't know were there, waiting on your beck and call to stand up, stand tall and march forth in service to you and all; qualities - that had lain hidden from you - until he happened along one fine day in the middle of the night and, because - because he had the ability - the previously mentioned aforementioned most important gift, talent - "ability"? To so, oh so accurately - as easily as "breathing out and breathing in because doing so is second nature to him now"? Ability to see ability - possibilities? Sees the not necessarily overtly, obviously noticeable nor pronounced potentials in us - that may only qualify as hints of us trying to aspire to greatness? He then conducts himself - as do, have always done, all the best of friends, the best of mentors, teachers since the dawn of time have with gleeful delight at the thought of our success - if we do rise to the occasion and validate their faith in us? Do his level, damn the torpedoes, give the order - "full speed ahead", it's now or never - spare no effort - efforts; to draw out those qualities, those abilities you and I always had - but, didn't know or recognize till - one fine day, in the middle of the night - out of nowhere it seems - a funny, odd fellow who took a liking to us - happened along! Slight difference - you must admit between Ge Wee toe and a Ge toe! LOL

You probably know Ren (solo) as a rapper, because his last album was a rap/hip-hop album. He wanted to see if he could make a rap/hip-hop album. He could and in doing so he became the first fully independent artist to acieve a number 1 UK album! Knocking Drake off the top spot, in the process! It also went top 10 in several other countries and topped the US hip-hop album chart! In most of Ren's work, he sings, rather than raps. His new album is said to contain no rap at all. He also covers every style and genre and always does so brilliantly! You mentioned his bass playing. Ren plays about a dozen instruments well. Half of them RIDICULOUSLY well! All self-taught! In case you didn't know, he also does all his own audio/recording setup, lays down all his own music/beats/audio and does his own production! He also did all that for the Big Push and has done so for his other collaborations too. He also directs most of his own videos, many of which are recorded live, in a single-take! I could go on... but you get the picture. Ren does it all! :)
