Honestly, Deltarune's whole plot with Kris and the soul just brings out a sense of existential horror to me. I mean at least in Undertale, Frisk wasn't actually a person. They were just an avatar we used to play the game with(outside of headcanon). But in Deltarune you're essentially hijacking someone else's freedom to act. They have zero agency. And the worst part is, that they're aware of everything. Their mind is still very much theirs. They're not an empty husk that changes alignment based on player gameplay preferences, but a living breathing person with their own thoughts and feelings. I'm honestly surprised Kris hasn't lost it yet, because they're literally at the mercy of an outside force who as far as they know can make them do anything, no matter how immoral or heinous.

Frisk is actually could be a real character (implied by a singular line of dialogue). After a True Pacifist route, when you are going to true reset, Flowey tries to convince you not to, with them saying "Let Frisk live their life" at one point. Additionally, at the end of True Pacifist you can also tell Toriel that "you have places to go", suggesting that they have friends that we do not know about, but this doesn't seem as significant.

About Kris getting attached to the horned headband and probably wishing they were a monster too, I personally believe that this is where Ralsei originated from. I believe Ralsei is that horned headband. If I recall correctly, Toriel says the horns were red. Ralsei strongly resembles the rest of the Dreemurr family besides Kris. What do you get when you combine red and white? Pink, the color of Ralsei's horns. That horned headband being Ralsei would explain why Ralsei resembles the Dreemurrs: Ralsei may be what Kris themself used to wish they were. It would also explain why Ralsei warms up to Kris so quickly: the emotional bond Kris had with that headband.

I'm not 100% sure, but if you start straight from chapter two, Kris makes certain choices around Hometown in chapter one. I think they tell Undyne about the dark world, and I don't think they visited Asgore. This will be interesting for future chapters because we can see the choices Kris really wanted to make.

12:45 to be fair it's not totally impossible that Kris got all that food to people please. It's implied that the only friends they had prior to chapter 1 were Asriel who's currently in college, Dess who went missing, and Noelle who they don't seem to be as close to as they once were (there's also Catti but we don't know the full extent of their relationship with her) pair that with them being the only human in town and it's possible that they were just very lonely. Another possibility is that since (I think?) Bratty mentions she got sick after eating all the food, maybe Kris put laxatives in there

If you hadn't pointed it out, I wouldn't have noticed you said "interesting" so many times. I know this feeling well when we need point out something we're aware of to minimise the impact of occasional rudeness coming from people, that's in a lot of cases our anxiety speaking and...boy, I have done that many times. But just letting you know that it's fine and you're doing great. Sometimes when I make art, I publish it and notice an error, but literally no one else does, so for the most part, people won't even notice unless you point it out. This might cause a conflict in your head, I get it, but one of a few great ways to tackle that is to subtly point it out somewhere where people won't usually see it, so you have the point of "I'm aware, you don't have to say it lol", while also making sure people aren't fully aware of it whenever it happens. I personally enjoyed your speech and points a lot, you're alright and "interesting" is a great word so don't sweat it :^)

I never really thought to much of these details, but It’s cool to see the picture that these subtle hints paint of Kris! I kind of see them as blunt, anti-social, and a little naïve, (Which is mainly how I interpret their interaction with the ‘big kids’ and getting so attached to the horned headband.) They also seem apprehensive about forming new relationships, but fiercely loyal to the ones they care about. Great vid, I’m really looking forward to how Kris develops as a character in future installments!

Kris likely isn't interested, since they are capable of emoting, even if we can't see it. The first thing that comes to mind is post-Spamton NEO, they're freaked out, and if you select Yes when asked if you're okay, Susie gets Kris to smile. Another example is their distress post-Snowgrave. There's probably others, but those two stand out most, though they are more extreme due to the circumstances.

4:10 I never thought of that particular way of reading the "thorough lesson" line, I had always interpreted it through the lens of Ralsei's general aversion to violence in his dialogue, and the matter of him educating us in the art of combat. Ralsei stealthily slipping in a double meaning like that definitely also makes sense to me.

i think kris was more friends with asriel and his friends then they were with the kids in their own class. they use to be friends with noelle but seem to have drifted apart ever since dess disappeared (maybe kris knows what happened to her and feels guilty?) this is why kris misses asriel so much because when he left for college kris lost pretty much all of their social interactions. this is also why susie is so important to kris because shes the first real friend they've had in a long time

Glad someone's making an archive dedicated to this! The video itself could use a bit more editing to tighten up the pace, but it wasn't too bad as is. Besides that and the audio levels, I can't think of anything else to critique. 11:05 Toby could have put in the piano like it was in Undertale, but most likely because it is hard to dicern if it is a good or bad play he made it not playable. So when you use it, it is only one action and not a music played, as you can not play any keys yourself. Therefore Kriss is annoyed that he can not play music as they only do only one "note". (this is shown in chapter 2 when you do it with Susie as she mentioned that Kriss is pretty pissed off that he can not play it)

Also other evidence for Kris being Frisk is that Susie says Frisk runs away a lot if you sprint to the closet and the special ability of Frisk's bandage is fleeing and Chara was loved across the underground but in deltarune Kris is thought of as strange by everyone and the two parallel each over which would mean Kris is not Chara.

I enjoy your calm demeanor and sense of humor (especially you pointing out your repetition and incorrectly written grammer in the script... it's relatable ( T∀T) ) Very nice (or should I say "interesting" :P) observations! There was one more choice (sort of): you can choose to give the White Ribbon to Ralsei instead of equipping it to Kris. This one probably goes either way. I don't know if Kris knows or remembers that the ribbon belongs to Noelle (which I think was pointed out either in Ch2 or in the Spamton Sweepstakes), so I don't think it'd be too out of character for him to just give it to Ralsei. After all, he doesn't strike me as the kind of teen who would want to wear ribbons. Also, if you start Ch2 without a save from Ch1, Ralsei shows up with the ribbon equipped anyways. So maybe Kris just wanted to be nice to Ralsei in that instance.

I have never heard about the "let's not fight" becoming yellow. Interesting. And one thing about the video. Maiby try to make your music volume highter? You can barely hear it,and when it switches from your voice to the game audio it kinda broke my ears, because i had to put the volume at max.

Really liked the video, I just have one critique for the audio, whenever you added clips of the game etc, the audio was quite loud in comparison to your voice, which made it a bit hard to listen at some point :))
