What languages do people in the UK speak?

One in four people in the UK regret never learning another language, according to a recent British Council survey involving 3,000 UK adults.
We went about asking people in Manchester what languages other than English do they speak, why is it important to learn a new language, and what are the best ways to start learning?

Honestly I don't reckon school is at all the best place to learn a language in Britain, it's the best place to learn how to get good marks on exams on foreign languages but that's as far as it gets
